Here's the latest Tracker economic chart. I've still got a lot of Oil Centers, Refineries, HI, etc. that aren't producing and I guess I ought to
take a look at that to see why or maybe fix it somehow. I'll get back to you on my discoveries in this reguard.

Here's the resource history of the Japanese Home Islands. The resources from out in the field are starting to reach Japan but the oil
hasn't yet. I'll have to see how many convoys are headed for Tokyo and see how many have oil in them. Would be good to know.
Resources are almost the same as the beginning of the war. That's a good sign. I'm still looking forward to the time when I'll have run
all my close resource sources out of resources and will have to take a look around to see who else has resources to donate. Like
Ocean Island and Makassar and places I've not heard of yet.

Here's a list of all the bases where I need some repairs to take place yet. Miri is the biggest project so far. These are the bases where I
need some engineers the most advantageously. I'll have to take a look at which bases these are and get some engineers to them. Or at
least make sure they have some eventually.

There was an earlier question by a reader about the status of the airfield at Port Moresby and I was working on Rob's moves at the time
and couldn't check. Well, now I'm working on Jim's moves and have the situation in front of me. Port Moresby appears to be an
operational level 3 airfield without any Allied planes there. Jim has evacuated all his fighters / bombers from Port Moresby back to OZ
I'm guessing. I've got my Betty's doing ground pounding and there's some Tina's that are flying in some supply but other than that the
air war looks to be won in that segment of the world. If and when I ever do capture PM I'm going to bring in the big guns ( bombers ) and
see it I can't reach OZ with them.

I have moved a group of Nell's to Koepang where they are in range of the Allied airfield at Darwin. I'm going to start them on a bombing
campaign to shut down the airports in the northernmost bases of OZ. That way I can move my transports toward their invasion targets
without having to worry so much about Allied air power. If and when I decide to invade.

That stack of Allied CV's looks like it's trying to get away. I'm going to move my stack of CV's even closer to the Allied stack to try to be in
range on the morning of tomorrow and within air strike range of the Allied stack hopefully. Maybe I'll get some more Allied ships yet,
maybe even some CV's.

Oh, wait........I've completely forgotten to do the combat results. Stay tuned for those too.

Hi, I follow your adventure and...wow, in 15th febrary you are everywhere in the globe!
But there's my question: I see you use some Betty with ASW 100% (what altitude?)...it works?
they hit any sub? The ASW setting is one of my great problem. Banzai!

edit: if you put a pair of BB in your AirCombatTF, they offer a very good AA and they
attract torpedoes.

The first thing that happened last night was this collision between my stack of CV's and the Allied stack of boats;. It happened in the
hex indicated and now, the next day, the combatants are in different hexes headed SE, the Allies probably at full-speed, and me following
to try to catch them in my air power net.

Thanks for following my little adventure. It's a blast so far. I may not be exactly everywhere in the globe but I'm trying to grab what I
can while I still can.

But there's my question: I see you use some Betty with ASW 100% (what altitude?)
I've put them on 1K feet ASL and so far there's been reports of hits in the operational report but that's probably just FOW.

...it works?
I'm not sure I've ever gotten any hits but I'm watching and waiting.

There's been nothing but reports of hits and nothing in the sunk ships list.

I like that idea a lot. Thanks for the tip.

Maybe you can set ASW at 60/80% (the 60/80% of squadron search for sub, then the
20/40% flight to attack them)...well, in any case I give a try in my pbem and see
what happen.

I'll give it a try and see what happens. Thanks for your input(s).

And then there was this naval bombardment of Midway. I see where a lot of planes got damaged but nothing important got destroyed.
Except for some Allied ground combat unit losses.

Remember those troops at Gasmata that I so carefully had embark the AK parked in the harbour so I could evacuate them to Rabaul?
An AA unit and some INF troops. Well, I forgot to specify "do not unload" and they started to unload last night and now the base is
enemy and my troops are back in the thick of things. So I'm going to leave them there to hold the fort down ( at least they have some
supplies at Gasmata ) and just move the bigger unit from Rabaul to Gasmata to take care of business and move the smaller unit to
Rabaul as a placeholder for now.

And then the next thing that happened was that the surface skimmers got into it again at Midway. Some more Allied wreckage.

I don't remember ever taking Gorontalo from the Allies. I'm guessing I forgot to invade there and Jim has been
hanging onto it all this time. Either that or I did take it then moved the INF out of there and now Jim has moved
a unit from somewhere else and taken it back. Either way I need to do something about it.

And then there was a sweep of Midway by my Zero's and I must say I'm a little disappointed in the performance of my Zero's. I'm thinking
I should have gotten one Wildcat at least. But NNNNNOOoooooooo. Not even one. D'oh.
