I don't know how ze Germans count, but for someone to be 74 in the year 2013, they were born in 1939.

I did have a leisure suit! My mom gave it to me for my b-day. High-heeled shoes too. Kiana (sp?) shirt with big printed swirly patterns, pointy collar wings about four inches long. I wore it to my first HS dance. My date's dress was, you guessed it, polyester.

But on the bench I was wearing black poly pants, white poly shirt, black poly bow tie.

And Corfam (tm) shoes.

Seeing as how I never matured past 13, it would have to be 13.

13 is good, but senility is better.

38, but with daughters aged 1 & 3, I feel much older than that.

I know for a fact...when I was maybe 15......reading Flying Review International and Air Classics, (and likely every Bantam war classic in print)...I would have loved this game, and I know I had the mental prowess to be good at it....I will say 14 or 15 minimum, AND the desire to learn from history of that war. [:)]

With the help of a lot of good friends in this forum...this plankowner has kept going well into the sixties with this version of WITP..

I'm amazed by the fact that there are so many "guys" in their 60s or 70s that play this game.
My father is 72 and he calls me every single day (2 or 3 times) to ask me things like "how do i open the mail?", "the pc screen is black, why?", "where is the mouse cursor?"... i think he would never be able even to open a game!

But I have parts older than that. Kidney is going on 53 and liver is somewhere between 56-58, so it would take some high order math to get my true age!

I discovered WW II history when I found a book about the battle of Midway when I was 8 or 9. I was playing AH war games by age 10. My nephew was playing SPWAW by age 5 I think and getting it, so it really depends on the individual as to what age is appropriate. I think games like this can be very educational in terms of teaching you how to think. I believe studying the battles and the wargames taught me how to develop a strategy and plan tactics to meet a grand strategy and to execute the plan and adjust when the situation changes. I has helped me tremendously with software project management in my career. I have this unique ability to visualize the whole project, the interrelationships between different aspects and what can go wrong and know how to counter the risks. I find my peers cannot see the grand picture like I can. To me it is instinctual. It is so obvious to me that it is hard to understand that others cannot see it. I really do believe wargames and the associated reading and focus on the topics helped me develop that.

Currently on a break from the game but here goes.. 33 with a 18 month old son who actually lets us sleep at least 8 hours a night!
