Hi Guys,

I'm from Bavaria (southern part of Germany). This is the region where we sometimes (disclaimer: really just sometimes and not everyone) wear "lederhosen" and drink beer from big glasses (we call them Masskrüge). Munich (Oktoberfest) is the pronvincial capital of Bavaria.

I really like Command. I'm a guy from the old Commodore C-64 days (Silent Service, Carrier Command, Flight Simulator...). Later on the PC I played harpoon 3 a lot and waited like many other in vain for the release of harpoon 4. I've never thought a game like Command had a chance to be developed these days. Many (most?) of the games nowadays are just facades, they have a great surface (graphics) but lack substance. Not so Command. IMHO, Command is a rough diamond, but with still some work to polish it. I'm impressed about the developer's dedication to their simulation. One can see that they don't do it for the money but rather for their passion to this fascinating game genre.

Though I've been playing computer games since the late 80s I'm fairly new to this kind of game. I never really thought I'd like it, but then I tried NW:AC and really enjoyed myself until I hit a point where I felt I needed to do too much micro management to be successful (and the lack of mid mission saves became too painful). Command seemed like the logical step up.

I'm country Victoria. Come up from Melbourne for a sea change. Actually nowhere near the sea, there is a couple of dams and lakes, and the rivers flood a lot.[:D][:D][:D] We don't always have floods, we have the occasional bushfire as well!! (3 in eight years, but its a great place to live).
