The list of RAF serials I use has a gap in the T9068 range.

So this placard is incorrect?

It's also missing the signature feature of a Mk 21 which is the Sperry auto-pilot bump on the nose.

Looks like you have to go back and get them to change their placard!!! [X(]

Does the Ta 152 has such "short" wings? Should't it be the D-9 version instead? [X(]

It appears to be a TA-152 H-1 model.

As said, the fw 190 D-9. Because of the wings lenght...

I'm interested, because I was thinking a FW-190 D9 as well. But Steve has SO many resources at his disposal...

Not on this subject. A nearly complete set of Jane's fighting SHIP's won't do much for this. As I said earlier in this thread, I'm not strong on German ww2 aircraft (or for that matter Japanese or Italian). I can ID the type , but when you get as specific as CB is asking, we'll then...as one of my old Navy instructors use to say "well boys , this is where we separate the fly shit from the pepper". Even the inventory of the USS Lexington's model collection doesn't go that specific. They list it as a "TA-152". [:(]

The Ta 152 was a high altitude fighter, with characteristic long and relatively thin wings.

This in the picture doesn't show having such.

Correct FW 190 D9. Here's a little side by side comparison for ease of purpose. Note the cockpit placement further back on the wing relative on the TA-152. The TA-152's wingspan is about a meter longer with more squared tips too.

Even easier telltale: look at the supercharger intake: Daimler-Benz DB 600 series (Ta152B and C) had intake on port side of fuselage; Junkers Jumo 213 series (Fw-190D-9 and Ta152H) had intake on starboard side of fuselage. Of course, the Ta-152H had extremely long wingspan.

Andre , they seriously need your contributions. Might O suggest a P-3C update II from a NAS Brunswick , PATWING five , say VP-8 or maybe VP-92?
