Thanks Ed

I'll move that Spetz patrol, and look at the naming. Thanks

Not sure what to do about the path problem - and I think the anti-runway bomblet issue has been reported.

Those are platoons of AAA, 2 guns each I think but with decent optics.

I think the Air Force option might prove to be the best over time - it reduces the proficiency of a lot of the AC by a level from Veteran down to Regular and one squadron down to Cadet. Evens up the proficiency level with most Soviet AC. Although if that Type 209 gets into your amphibs it will be messy.

Thanks for the report and kind words. Working on MF #4 at the moment.

Ok, I think I have a fix for this particular scenario.

You can use a trigger of unit enters area, with the area around the port but not including the port (ships in port are already in the area) and then the lua changes the course to a preset working course that has the needed way points to escape the port and the straights. You also have to change the ignore plotted course doctrine to No so that they follow the course even if they are engaged offensive.

I also made a video on it here: https://youtu.be/mAVdJypRoeI

Great Video - amazing how much I learn just watching you play around with the code. Your teaching an old dog some new tricks! Thanks.

Hello again,

My next major raid was targeted at the Murted AB. A mixed bag of attackers. ARM AS-5 Kelts for the 3 radars located south of Ankara. 4 TU-22RDM ( carrying 3000kg bomb). 4 SU-24 each with 3 1500kg LGB. All escorted by 8 MiG-29 and 2 SU-15.

While running the mission I noted 6 F-16 holding south of Ankara. They didn’t appear interested in engaging until I actually attacked them. I checked the editor and found their prosecution area for Ankara CAP looks messed up. Reference point 11549 was SW of the airbase. I’m guessing that you intended for it to cover the base area. Either way. Fixing and re running the raid.

Any hints on #4?[:D]

I have not detected a 209 as of yet....[X(]

Whicker......I do love Black Adder!

OK here is version 1.8 with Whicker's great solution to the path problem incorporated.

Also fixed:
-Naming issues
-The Ankara CAP problem
-The trigger happy Turkish ASW pilots should hold off a bit
-The TLAM strikes should come in at the proper time now.

It will be a while before I can get to another update or push this to final so it should give you a bit of time to run with it. With the exception of the path problem there is nothing here that would cause a restart, and if your more than about 12 hours in you've already dealt with most of the path issues.

Thanks again.

Hey there,

the special action "Subvert Air Force Morale" can still be selected after you've chosen one of the other choices. (Build 1147.41, the file is from the CP made available through Steam).

May I suggest adding Rory's Stores Management script ? (As seen in Sakura Blue) It gives a convenient way to check the airbase's magazines up.

PS: I'm having so much fun with the series, by the way. I'm dipping in each theater, my most played save being IF#4 'Gate of Tears' (which sports a couple Belgian platforms, yay!). What I love the most is the ambiance you are setting with the story driven events. It makes me feel like a cog in an immense machinery, trying not to clog up on the sand storm coming my way.
I did treat myself with the e-book Northern Fury, and it's awesome to actually play the scenarios in the context of the global events I'm reading about.

Hay Claude

Thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the book.

I'll put that fix on my list and check out Rory's script, haven't played Sakura Blue but I remember that there was quite a build up to it. When I start refitting/rebuilding scenarios (some really need it) I'll consider adding features like this.

The Belgian navy didn't do a lot of expeditionary operations so it is hard to include them. The Navy is small and the Airforce would be sucked into the Central Front vortex. The FF Wandelaar is in STANAVFORLANT which is featured in NF#6 Trondheim Express, she survives and gets moved into convoy operations in NF#34, cannot remember what happens to the others of her class, convoy ops as well I think. The MCM force in 'Gate of Tears' is add-hoc as it didn't exist in 94, but there is also one in the Channel which doesn't get played unfortunately. Cannot remember if there are Belgians in the MCM group that shows up in MF#5, but they'll be used in the later Med scenarios as well.
