20 November 1942

A German panzer unit takes Gibraltar and Cyprus is occupied. The Med is finally fairly secure.

Bad weather comes to the east front, but it already looks like Germany has become an unstoppable juggernaut.

Japan is another story. With the arrival of US air units the battle is probably lost and we will have to go on the defensive. In addition we have absolutely no idea where the US fleet is.

18 December 1942

A US battleship is spotted west of Madagascar. Is it a main fleet? A diversion? Something else? We have no idea.

Germany declares war on and overruns Portugal. Moscow falls.

15 January 1943

Another year and time to look at our situation. Germany has 1241 income! More than the US (probably). A real giant. Personally I feel this is way too much, no matter how well Germany is doing.

Germany has also just about built everything it can. We are now rebuilding our fleet and looking at select units (fighters!) from minor nations.

Italy of course is basically just a minor nation (with worse tech). It has managed to build almost all its ground units.

Japan is struggling with its industry. Very few units have been built.

In fact the only thing of note we have produced are 4 maritime bombers.

A major US fleet with at least 2 carriers is confirmed near Madagascar. We are doing what we can to delay them, including a diversionary/suicidal landing.

Japan is losing the battle against India, the deciding factor being US fighters. Japanese bombers will be withdrawn.

To help their struggling allies, Germany sends an army group to attack India from the west. An Indian army in Mashhad is destroyed without German losses.

The IJN launches a diversionary attack on Darwin. We have no real intention to attack Australia. The fleet will be sent west to hopefully catch the US fleet unawares.

12 February 1943

Our diversion at Madagascar seems to have worked. The unit there gets bombed and a fleet of destroyers hunts a German submarine.

Italy takes Nairobi and besieges Medina. Germany advances on Afghanistan. And the Moscow area is cleared.

The situation in India stabilizes. In China, both Chungking and Yenan are under siege.

12 March 1943

A US fleet keeps bombarding our Madagascar expedition. Can we catch them next month?

As a massive US air raid eliminates the lone Japanese fighter unit, Germany liberates Afghanistan. Japan starts a massive AA upgrade program for all its units.

9. April 1943

Major fleet confirmed near Madagascar. We take a gamble and move within striking distance. Hopefully the submarines will prove enough distraction.

In good news for Japan, Chungking and Yenan fall, and China is crumbling.

Germany takes Perm and the Soviets surrender! This might be the end of the game to be honest.
