The German's had only two BB's and they were easily rendered ineffective by the British. Large warships were lousy raiders. Only in this game are they effective because they are impossible to spot so you can't sink them. Hopefully that will change in next release.
The Japanese two largest BB's only left port twice. They couldn't afford to supply them with enough fuel to use them for anything but Combined Fleet Headquarters on the dock.
