First of all, there was some action at Trincomalee for the second day, and call I can say is "CALLED IT!" We were ready for him this time.

More importantly, my break-through force entering the Chungking plains from the East just had a major victory and the Chinese situation is getting more serious for them by the day.

I launched what I thought would be an easy assault on the ships in Colombo Harbor with the hopes of sinking a few in the shipyard, but it didn't work out. I need to come up with a new strategy quickly because this one isn't working.

I choreographed a stunning two-pronged assault in China this turn and it worked out magnificently. The Chinese are sent reeling and a major breakthrough has occurred.

See what I did there? Chungking sure can. We're bombarding from the ground and bombing from the air. I am going to try to tighten this noose and trap all these soldiers in here so they cannot escape. I can't wait to start reducing the forts here.

We swept Colombo today and it didn't go particularly well, but it wasn't awful either. But in a more important development, something huge just happened at Bataan. I gave myself until 1 May 1942 to close out the operation, and we did a little better than that.

I have to keep the pressure up on the Allies on Ceylon. We must win here, no matter the cost. It's a matter of life and death for our campaign. Keeping with this, we need to start shuttle bombarding Colombo to keep it in flames. Today's the start.

Today was probably the most devastating loss of the entire war for the Allies. Macho tried to sneak his battleships out of Colombo, but thanks to a squall and my bombardments rendering Colombo unusable for air cover, Kido Butai emerged from the rain, and RAINED down some STEEL on the Allied battleships attempting to escape. It was a massacre.

I am starting to think more asymmetrically and looking for opportunities to take advantage of weaknesses. Today I really caught him by surprise, wiping out his pre-emptive night bombing force on the ground and capturing a base deep behind enemy lines. Many aircraft were captured and destroyed!

I forgot to record the turn replay but what I am seeing requires me to record this again. We are seeing huge movement of enemy cargo and transport ships in the Indian Ocean in the direction of Colombo, Ceylon. Let me show you what I'm seeing and detail our plans to deal with it.

Today, April 28th, another date which will live in infamy... the Allies launched an ill-advised and poorly executed evacuation attempt of the troops at Colombo. What transpired next was one of the greatest feats of decimation the Imperial Japanese Navy has ever performed. The loss of life was appalling.
