That sounds like good one. I wonder if the commandos can hold out with the Canadians against the redoubtable 21st Panzer. I like these lesser known battles that were pivotal in the early invasion.

Happy New Year
That French town looks like a cozy place to have a fun battle in.

That sounded like a fun fight in the buildings and gardens up until the heavy weapons smashed the place. I like small gun fights between houses in small villages, like the commandos trying to fight their way into town. I wish the Germans had some tanks to counter the Canadian heavy weapons to even the odds, but I guess there were almost no tanks in Normandy on the German side. Maybe just the 21st Panzer but it was spread out and confused by panicky orders.

That's right. The 21st Panzer Division was in Normandy on D-Day but very weakened, undergoing re-equipment and training of new Panzergrenadier crews and troops.
It didn't have much of an opportunity to do much.

sounds like a fun little battle for the causeway, bocage and apple orchard. Most probably both sides wanted those fresh apples. Sounds like the Americans gradually won the battle in the bocage.
I wonder about the Introduction 5 which says "the All-Americans in the orchard..." is All- a typo or it means the company has all American soldiers?

Hello GiveWarAchance,
Indeed, the "p" board represents the bocage of Normandy.
The 82nd Division was constituted in the National Army on August 5th, 1917, and was organized on August 25th, 1917, at Camp Gordon, Georgia. Since its initial members came from all 48 states, the unit acquired the nickname "All American," which is the basis for its famous "AA" shoulder patch.
