Some one made the comment the other day on the forums that in the back ground that leaders may only be Eye candy and there is no real beneifit from them. Does anyone know if this is true or not-in my games they seem too help. But after reading that comment now I am not sure what there "true" beneifits are. [:)]
Yesterday I’ve got the proof that leaders are very important endeed.
Usually I had one surface action per phase. This time I’ve got 3!!! engagements per night phase: I had 3 US CAs, 4CLs and 5 DDs, against 1BB, 2 CAs, 1CL and 8 DDs. Results:
IJN- 5DDs, 1CA sunk, USN – 1CA, CL, 2DDs damaged, 1CA badly damaged 95Sys, 91 floating damage in 1 size port, but slowly recovering.
I was surprised by outcome, cause usually USN gets its bottom spanked in surface action with IJN, so I’ve checked leader – don’t remember now exact numbers for leadership and motivation, but he was very promising and aggressive. So here is the difference I guess and a good reason to fix leaders bug ASAP.

aggressive.
Love them guys ... the only drawback is sometimes one will not break off when he should which will cost you dearly [:D]
Don't ever take an agressive guy into a no win situation.

I didn't know that there was BB in IJN TF. So when I saw it there, it was like 'O, no, sh1t!'. Than second attack, I like 'WTF? no,no,no break off!!!' Third attack 'What's wrong with this guy? Another bug? Get the hell out there!'[:D]
Still I think it was pure luck that I didn't get my CAs creamed all over the DEI.

Well, as usual, Ron, you don't bother to read what I actually say before replying, but no matter.
One thing that has occurred to me lately is that patch 1.3 is only a little more than a month old, so an extra dollop of patience is called for, I think.

Hi all,

Hello...
Yup (a promise is a promise). May not make this build. May have to wait until next patch.
Bye...

Thanks Mike - all of us here have utmost respect for you and your work! [&o][&o][&o]

I would like to add "ditto" to that comment. I think half the terse posts are as a result of extreme love of the game coupled with impatience. But listing the raw leader data is a fantastic idea, thanks.

I read it but obviously I missed your point, although it seemed rather clear. No offence.

I'm just hoping that 1.4 makes at least a dent in the leader leak problem.
I'm also hoping that I can remember to alternate saves between two save slots so that I can generate more "before and afters."
So, you know. I grumble a lot in my old age when my games and my digestion don't work to suit me.

At one time, I had 5 save slots going for each of my 6 PBEM games. It is a pain in the butt to have to remember to backup and what game you were playing. Finish giving orders and checking things out and forget completely who's game turn you were finishing.
Mainly early war is the worst. All the different games look the same for the 1st month or so.
