Starting to hurt him at Manilla

Starting to hurt him at manilla. I hope he tries to reinforce manilla directly...
I have 500+ mines at bataan and 2 base forces with CD & DP guns ready to attack anyone trying to move through. I'm also sending a few BB & DD's that just came in to bataan to try to break him up. If he comes with anything heavy i'm toast but if he thinks i'm over extended i might get a lucky shot to knock out some divisions. Only thing he can use is 14th & 15th Indian. All very disabled only 150 AP still wont be enough.
Should i just let him land and take it?

17th & 14th Indian division are landed. I'm going to check with billy to see if they are under loan to the us or if britian is in a state of war. This doesn't change anything with me killing them though i attacked again and while i got 0-1 i'm still starting to kill his troops after now in 7 days i'll have 4 Divions & 4 BDE more at Manilla and i will the eliminate 2 british divisions as well.

what about chhina? is china also at war with japan? WHat about russia? What are your house rules exactly? And france and Holland? What about their state of affairs with japan? I think one of the possibilities I might envision if I was the US, is coming up at hokkaido through the aleutian islands. having a refuelingg point at sakhaline is not a bad idea either... what do your defenses look like up there?

Defenses in northern japan are still standard.
As of now its still just Us Vs Japan. Allied commander told me those 2 division are under the control of the US and it is not an act of war. Truth be told they are only 150AP a piece and they will be more points to crush. I may have a crap navy left but i have the ground forces to wipe him out. And hopefully that will net me alot of VP for destroying them. And hopefully slow down any offenseives for awhile.
So Mine northern Japan? What do you recommend? should i premeptively take the aluetians?

Well it looks like a calm is taking over. No combat both armies at manilla sit and wait.
I am offloading 2 BDE tomorrow. Then 2 more divisions will hit naga in a few days. As i said in PH ...god as my witness i will take Manilla. Hopefully by killing off his troops.

WEll i saw some US destroyers sneaking into manilla and they made it again. Once again the CD guns of the base forces didnt do jack sh!t wtf!
But i did unload about 900 mines in bataan so next time they try to come in HOPEFULLY they will get a nice pop from the mines.

you could also try unloading mines in manilla as well[:D] Do you have any torpedo bombers that you could base off bataan? Looking at what a torpedo bomber from the CV argus did in Terminus's AAR, I'd say about 30 of those buggers could hit a few DDs trying to sneak into manilla... Use what little airpower you have. Also, if you have some line bombers (or whatever the heaviest thing is for that period) try bombing the divisions in manilla from the air. Won't do much, but will reduce his supplies and cause disruption. For the aleutians I would suggest sending in a sub or two, what you can afford, just to keep an eye on things. If it ever looks like he is taking an interest in the place (as in bringing in supplies, sending ships etc, then start making preparations. I would send the sub at about the Anchorage level. However, this is not pressing. I do not think he is thinking about invading northern japan just yet, his fleet is really really badly banged up, and his troops, although not dead, are badly mangled (although compared to yours they must look fresh as roses). Most of all you have to STOP SUPPLIES TO MANILLA. This is the main point I am trying to make. You shouldn't care if you have to defend the channel with MSWs, defend it for god'sake!! Right now I am reading what you are writing, and it sounds like: hey i'm not hitting anything, but hopefully I'll hit something next turn... that's not the attitude to take. Position whatever you can afford (PGs, PTs if they exist, small combat ships, whatever), right before the mined hex of bataan. You probably won't stop his DDs, but if you manage to set one on fire, then he'll lose a lot of maneuverability, and he will have a much much bigger chance of hitting a mine in the bataan hex.
Also, don't forget, air is, in this case, a very good option.

OH i'm being proactive what little bit of fleet i have in the west. new 16 INCH BB & 4 Crappy DD's are popping into bataan for night raids. I saw some BC's so i dont want to go toe to toe but i will try night engagements. I will not put myself into a position to lose one of my last 16inchers over a tiny fleet engagement. I have enough troops coming to push him out supplies or no. But I am trying to interdict. We started in 22 so i only have F & Recon right now. IN a year or so i will have some torp bombers and fighters but for now i'm SOL on airpower

. I'll double check though i might have missed something.
Good idea about the subs up north i'll do that. Can subs refuel off AO's too?
And i have a few MSW on the way to bataan to camp in bataan.
Yea i wish i had a few bombers that would make it a little easier eatting up his supply.
Yea my troops are pretty banged up but we have 4 years and i will get another 20 divisions in replacements so i just have to hang on and learn from my early mistakes. LOL loosing 70% of surface fleet & 40% of my inf squads yay!.
But i am confident with better tactics we can do this. Especially with the help of the loyal readers and cabinet!

Well i'm still whittling away at the enemy. I have 2 more divisions moving 50 miles outside manilla. I'm even moving 5th army HQ to bataan to hopefully help the guns of bataan hit the next enemy incursion. Hopefully with the 1000+ mines there nowe we'll take out a few ships. I have a BB & 4 old DD's and a sub sitting in Bataan waiting. Hopefully i can engage the enemy. I'd park in manilla but that would end baddly for me!

not much damage but i'll pull back for repairs for now. I have 3BB & 2BC
and 6 CA/CL so i dont have a horribly small battlefleet i just have to effectively use my forces.

Also there are 913 mines in Bataan now i'm about to drop off 350 into manilla this turn and then have those ML's clean out bataan so my poor bb doesn't hit anymore

.
I'm just glad my bb had a chance to light up some of his fleet. ALso setting a cautious commander was nice i got to hit him with some 16 inch shells and then retire

This is a 4 year war i am not in a major hurry.
