-When the dutch PT are refueling in Soerbaja a japanese surface group with CA Myoko, CA Nachi, CA Aoba and CA Kako, one light cruiser and five destroyers enter in the port and fire over the surprised warships. The PT TM-11 is sunk and the others escape. After, the japanese open fire against Soerbaja buildings and port. The CL Sumata is hit by one shell, two hit the ML Krakatau and other the AP Van Landsberge. But the nipons not escape unscathed. The costal gunfire cause heavy damage on DD Kikuzuki and DD Yamakaze. The unfortunate destroyers are again attacked by the T.IV next morning. The Kikuzuki is hit by two torpedoes and the Yamakaze by four torpedoes and three bombs. Both are sunk.

-The PG Aso Maru is torpedoed (1 hit) by the SS KXV near Pontianak. The submarine was light damaged by escort.
-Again, a japanese surface group penetrate in Soerbaja to bombard and surprise four dutch PT boats. The TM-8 was sunk by the DD Fubuki and DD Hatsushima. The coastal batteries hit five times the CA Furutaka causing some fires. The ML Krakatau is heavy damaged.
-The group is attacked many times by T.IV and Martin 139 next morning. 1 Martin 139 is destroyed and the BB Nagato escape without damage.
-67 Bettys escorted by 24 zeros bombard Bandoeng. Heavy dogfight and clear dutch defeat. 3 Hawk 75A and 3 Demon destroyed.
