Von S... there is a crew of dedicated volunteers working hard on the AE expansion to WITP. They could have released it several months ago, but decided to work on creating a more viable AI so that everyone and not just the PBEM crowd would have a chance to enjoy the expansion.

It is going to be released. When is a good question, but it isn't going to be answered until the thing goes gold.

Whining about this and badgering the volunteers isn't going to make it arrive any sooner, so it is best to just go with the flow and buy it when it is finally released...

Thanks for the answer - nobody is trying to "whine" or "badger". I was trying to find out were "they" are in the process and not getting any meaningful response.

I will certainly buy it when it is released. Getting a "more viable AI" sounds good but... I have certainly never seen an AI worth the name. (Except a top shelf chess programme of course) I will stick to a reliable PBEM opponent any day.

Thanks. I have seen both "Pakanbaroe" and "Pekanbaroe" in use, but I am happy to use the name most often used by the Dutch in their sources.

Bankha could be Bengkalis, too.

I use the base "Tandjoengbalai" instead of "Bankha".

But I doubt that todays oil facilities were present in the 1940s, they aren't mentioned in my sources and the KNIL defended every oil well....

There were oil wells at Djambi, so i moved the oil/resources/manpower there.

Speaking of roads, I have had trouble finding good maps of the DEI showing contemporary road networks. I do have some, but they are US maps, not Dutch. I would be interested to know if there are any Dutch maps available online?

I use the base "Tandjoengbalai" instead of "Bankha".

Tandjoengbalai is on my map, but had no garrison. Maybe Tandjoengtiram (slightly to the north) is better, the japanese invaded there on 420312. Or move it west, there was a naval base at Prapat (lake Toba).

objectives of the Djambi Garrison were

'guarding oil fields in the vicinity of Djambi/Moearatembesi'
'guarding landing area near Djambi'
'guarding landing area near Sarolangoen'

no oil refinery is mentionend!

Since the Djambi Garrison consists of 2 companies, the oil fields shall not be small, but I think smaller than Pangkalanbrandan/Pangkalansoesoe (near Medan). There was another oil field at Koeala Simpang (NE Sumatra). This one should be smaller than Djambi. I'm afraid I cannot give a better answer.

Online, I'm afraid not (or at least I found none!). I mainly use maps inside the books. Schotborgh/Hoogenband provide some nice maps, showing roads and such...

I'll visit (after X-mas) my local copy-shop, maybe they're able to scan those maps ...

I thought I had captured it

Sabang Base force has a mix of 12 Militia Sections
Sabang Bn has 38 regular Sections
Corps marcheuse has 60 regulars

I basically amalgamated 2nd Garrison and Sabang Det into a stonger Bn and stripped the extra Militia etc into the base force trying to minimise number of small units. So Sabang Bn is really a small Demi Bde

So its two Bn sized formations at Sabang and a base force with a small amount of militia rather than one overtstrengh Bn and two weak Bns and a base force

I suppose there is no harm in have two weaker Bn's as thats what is historically correct.

At 19 sections each my 'no more ants' phobia doesn't quite kick in they are probably big enough to be shown seperately
