6500 German planes is extremely impressive for 1945.....guessing the air war is really nothing.

Stelteck said he did not pursue the Air war. Thus the answer to that. I believe he also said that he wasn't doing TAC bombing either. I remember M60 commenting on this.

Excited for the conclusion of this AAR, as much as I'll miss it. Been reading it for over a year and the stamina it must have taken to get through this is truly impressive.
On a side note, I can't wait till they make a new balance patch. It seems to have been a while since I've got the opportunity to enjoy a single AAR without snarky balance disputes. More and more the words 'duly noted' are coming to mind. Maybe make a balance thread and discuss it in depth there, I just like to read the stories without someone constantly saying its all meaningless because x since patch y hasn't been z. But that's just my two cents.

Turn 223, 20th september 1945
Well I bought a new laptop but still didn't have got my Steam access. As we are very close from the end of the game, I post turn 223.
Some pressure in the north. 2 breakthrough attempts north of Warsaw. Always counterattacking!
As scheduled, the Pocket is sealed in the carpathian mountains

Turn 225, 4th october 1945
This game has begun 18 monthes ago in real life... We fought hard for Moscow, Vitebsk, lake Elton, Voronejh... Partisans where surprising, 1941's blizzard very intense, the race to the east in summer 1942 a great moment, and summer 1943/1944 battles amazing. My army went as close as 80 miles from Guriev....
Surprisingly, the last turn is not a turn.... in fact the game is over at the end of turn 224. You cannot attack...
The result is known for a long time. But above all, I will remind that this game was fun!
Very strange, I get the log of the USSR. I guess turn 225 hasn't been tested several times [:)]
Above all thanks to Stelteck! I really appreciated playing against you. You're reliable, fair and play to the bitter end.
Thanks to all readers and contributors. Sometimes, while writing an AAR, you feel alone and receiving a message in your AAR is very helpful.
I will post some screenshots of this last turn later but now I will take some days of rest without WITE.
But WITE is a hard drug. I will be back!

This game has been epic and a must read. Indeed I am more than a little said it has ended and there will be no more AAR posts. Could we petition the developers to allow the game to be extended beyond 224 if that is what the players want.
Well done to both you for taking us on this journey to the end. And showing us parts of the game so rarely seen!

Congratulations to both of you for finishing the game.
WitE might be a hard drug, but so has been this AAR. I hope it has not been the last one!

What a journey! Congrats and thank you for sharing. Contrary to what the final result may tell, I think Stelteck was impressive in the use of tank pools. Rarely have I seen a soviet player actually exploit all the ground arsenal at their disposal.

Well done. Thanks to both of you. I have been following this aar for almost a year and it has really felt like a lifetime to me. On that time my wife, after a 20 year relationship, has gone. I hope not forever, but that is life. I guess having been in Stalingrad as an axis fusilier for the whole siege would have been worse.
Ps. And no, wite had nothing to see with my marriage wreck
