Another strategic bombing raid by the Zeroes. This is either a case of a staff officer with fat fingers hitting the wrong button or JJ are seriously scraping the bottom of the bucket on bombers. This time they try to hit a Dutch DD from 25K feet [:D]

What is missing is ANY attack on Jolo. 21st Marines and some Sea Bees are on their way across the Sulawese Sea. Sangi Airfield is operational now. South Dakota and North Carolina should be on station near Jolo. The temporary emergency provoked by the appearance of the IJN appears over.

SG: These shoes are too big.

FAM: Yeah, that's it <snickering>

SG: F*** you! [:D]

See, that's the problem with this world. Acts of kindness go unrewarded. Also, never ONCE has a representative of the Federal or State government thanked me when I write a big check. I'm thinking of not being such a nice guy on purpose.

Don't worry, I just read they're working on $41 in tax increases for every $1 in spending cuts. Someone is sure to thank you after that!

In addition to everything else, it sounds to me like you're blaming Stalker girl for your high taxes. If you keep that up, you will never get to use her laptop again.

Unless, of course, you constantly keep her in non-propriocepting condition.

That is true. One year she took out 20K from her 401-K and didn't tell me...and, of course...didn't have the cash for the extra liability.

She claims to enjoy it when I use her lap..oh..wait..nver mind

Speaking of computers, I bought a 16G flash drive and simply copied the entire WITP-AE folder to my desk top...and...wait for it...it doesnt work.

I was pretty sure it wasn't going to be that easy.

Dunno what you're complaining about-that sure sounds "balanced" to me. [:'(]

With that sort of attitude (expecting people to pay you / thank you for your professional skills), you deserve a 26% cut in reimbursed billables. [:'(]

There are usually a few other files placed in the Windows folders to kick off the game start.
Best thing is to copy the downloaded game file from Matrix [before it is run] and put it on your flash drive, then transfer it and run it on the new computer.
I can't remember at what stage they ask for your game registration number but you might need that for the new install.
You DID save a copy of the downloaded file this time, didn't you?

Once the game is installed, you can copy your saved turn folders and put them in the new game's folders. Anything you do with the game on the second computer [turn saves, setting changes] will have to be copied back to the first computer if you still intend to use both.

*******************March 4, 1943(c), Pranning***************

Taytay: JJ have moved up a transport convoy, presumably to unload combat troops at Taytay. The airfield has 26 fighters. They mean to fight for Taytay. As the surface combat threat in the Jolo/Taytay area seems to have eased, I ordered 8th Marine to cease disembarkation at Cotabato and proceed again to Taytay. The Birmingham group (3 CL and 3 DD with depleted torps) will move to Taytay and remain on station with top cover from P-38's out of Jolo (Jolo has drop tanks now).

Jolo: South Dakota and North Carolina will remain on station at Jolo. Jolo has 40 SBD's and the rest fighters and Catalinas. We are having trouble maintaining the Corsairs and P-38's as you can imagine. Engineers and a CD unit are inbound as is the raminder of 102nd RCT. Moving up some AE's and AD's from Ternate.

Mindanao: Marine tank Bn is moving NE toward Davao. Cotabato (level 2) got a fresh infusion of fighters as almost all the Corsairs are damaged. Most of the the USAAF P-40 squadrons in theater are burned up, either from losses or fatigue but so must the LYB fighters be. I flew in some RCAF Hurricanes and RAAF Spirfires.
I tried to move 503rd PIR to Cotabato (Level 2) by landing craft from Dadjangas (still at only 0.86) so they could be employed again in an airdrop, but they have not finished unloading.

IO: Some staff idiot tried to send one of our damaged BB's from the 1st-32nd Naval Battle of Port Hedrand to South Africa but she ran out of fuel in the long grey canal thingy on the left side of the world. She has to go back to Diego Garcia and get some fuel. It was going to take 50 days to get to South Africa but only 40 to Diego Garcia. The DD escorting her also ran out of fuel so they are being pushed along by kindly sea turtles and flying fish.

Fuel: The closest base to the enveloping squid attack that has ANY fuel is Townsville. If anything stops the attack it will be fuel/suppries and/or aviation support and/or Kaga and/or we run out of fighter aircraft.

****************Harpoon Henrys****************

SG and I were not invited to any New Year's Eve parties...well, one but it was almost all lawyers (mostly prosecutors) and judges so that seemd a bit unsavory....plus..who wants to get into your car afterward? Also SG still had some bottle fatigue from the night before so we decide to go down to Harpoon Henrys in Dana Point and watch Phil Shane and "have a drink". Phil Shane is like a hobbit with a Neil Diamond haircut. He has a music machine with the instrumental part and some background vocals and he does the lead. His main inventory is Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, and some Johnny Cash so you can imagine what his main crowd looks like. The bar actually has three defibrillators. [:D] Phil has legions of 65-70+ female groupies. It the damned funniest thing you will ever see when this little hobbit guy does the Tom Jones pelvis thingy and the groupies squeal in delight.

Anyway, he is supposed to start at 8:30 so we get there at 8:00 and it is just packed. We worm our way into a bar seat after a bit and order some Martinis and some calamari. SG gets some wind behind her sails from the first Martini so she decides to order oysters...except the bartenders have the assigned duty to shuck the oysters and this is evidently a source of friction among the staff. Also, it's busier than Hell and the bar crew is hustling. So, SG flags him down, orders another round of Martinis and a half-dozen oysters.

Bartender: You can have oysters if you want but I gotta shuck 'em so all your drinks will be watered down the rest of the night. Think about it. <no wink, no hint of a smile and then he heads off to do some bartender stuff>[X(]

Hory crap! Neither one of us can tell if he is bull shitting us or not. Oysters or non-watered down drinks. That is quite the dilemma. We made the same decision that likely everyone here would make. Strong drinks. We ordered some salads and some entrees from the kitchen and switched over to Sam Adams because we still had 3 hrs to go. We were distracted by an older guy slumped over the bar with his shirt riding up and we can see he is wearing orange thong underwear. He was evidently hoping to score a cougar but failed to pace himself properly. I put a note in his jacket complimenting his thong underwear and a good chuckle was had by all. When we turned back to our calamari there were oysters on the plate too.

So, my take is he really DID mean it but he felt bad afterward. We passed him a $20 tip and he just keeps bringing Sam Adams every time we turn around. When we go to square up he claims he can't find our bill so he just charges us $13 for one round of beers. We gave him another $40 tip. [;)]

Around 10:30 most of the grey panthers ran out of gas and were replaced by 30 somethings. Paradoxically, the guy with the orange thong aroused from his stupor and began dancing..though I don't know if he ever hooked up. Phil the Hobbit deftly changed his song mix and started doing Katy Perry songs. Oysters were pretty good.

Admiral Lord Sprior;

1) There is a troop transport heading toward Diego Garcia that will run out of fuel. I sent an empty TK to meet her and refuel her from her bunkers.

2) Do you want the carrier capable RAF and FAA stuff in Oz to go to the CBI? They would have to be crated up.

3) Do you chaps have any spare fuel?
