*********"Share Day", SGJr(IV)'s neighboring first grade class***********

Imagine you you bring in your Tickle Me Pink Elmo doll to share and the kid before you has his dad bring in the ACTUAL FREAKIN' STANLEY CUP!

"Hory crap!"

The roots of these feelings of inadequacy will cost you tens of thousands in therapist bills, Cap'n.

Hey, I'm still trying to get over the trauma of winning "Most Improved" on my Pop Warner team...TWO YEARS IN A ROW!

If the kid in front of me on share day brought his REAL NHL STAR DAD WITH THE REAL NHL STANLEY CUP I would have had the sense to just lie down under the bus wheels and save the therapist bills.
You mean your school had school buses?!? Ohhhh...

No, it was pretty tall. Kinda short from front to back, though.

I tried to rearm the BB's at Joro with 2 x 16K ton AE's. I got "operation points limit" notice or something of that nature (they drew fuel from AK's and AP's disembarking support troops at Joro) and did not increase their main gun ammo).

I ported them and rearmed the CL's and DD's. I hope next turn they will rearm. A group of LCT's will begin transporting 1st/102nd to San Jose.

Wasp is on her way to the battle zone from Sydney.

Started reading "Quartered Safe". The locals speak a very strange language.

.....................The author just explained it. It's Cumbrian dialect. No longer Gaelic, it's more like Middle English meets Apalachia

I finished The Generals. Pretty much every commander from GWI, Iraq and Aghanistan except Petreaus and Odierno get reamed. Shinseki gets a pass for correctly predicting troop needs in Iraq. One Marine general (Mattis?) gets credit for sacking a Colonel who was percieved to be too cautious.

Rumsfeld gets fed into a wood chipper along with his standing desk. Sanchez and the first guy in Iraq (forget his name) are composted and turned into fertilizer. Schwarzkopf is a concrete thinking blowhard.

Cheney and Gates are given credit for firing people.

Colin Powell is faulted for not retiring sooner.

If the Ops Point limit was for the TF, it would show 1000 op points used opposite your BBs. It could also have been the AEs/AKEs that ran out of ops points. BBs use a lot of their points during re-arming and you seem to need two turns most of the time to re-arm anything with 16 inchers [guns I mean, not what you are thinking].

Indeed, the BB's had 1000 op points expended but the AE's did not. I have seen BB's with 16 in guns take two turns to rearm. Usually the front magazine first and then the rear, but in this case there was no 16 in ammo taken on. I think it was the fuel load that used up the op points. The AE's were able to rearm the CL's after the BB's declined.

The Hood

Not that Hood, the one I live in.

Sadly, Pocahantas Girl, who is still married to her peripatetic husband, and who has 3 kids, has learned that her husband will be having a baby with his 25 yr old baby mama. [:-]

Similarly, the guy with the $10,000 mailbox has learned that his peripatetic soon to be ex-wife is shacking up with a younger dude and has left the three kids (including twin 7 year olds) with him. It wasn't hard to find a younger guy. The poor SOB is at least 75. I am no longer angry about him leaving his Port-a-potty on my lot for 8 mos. when he was remodling and then asking me when I was going to fix the grass in my front yard. I also forgive him for knocking my ass on the ground in a b-ball game once (it was a foul if you are wondering). His soon to be ex-wife always seemed crazier than bat shit to me.

We found this little Yorkie-thingy walking around in the front yard and she had no tags. It was getting to be coyote time so we took her in for the night. She was WAAAY smarter than my dogs and they were jealous so we had to put them out on the balcony [:)]. The girls anmed her "Fifi". In the morning, SG Jr was assigned to walk her around the neighborhood and ask people if they knew the beast. We got a hit from the new guy up the street with the Porsche convertible. Now, to me, a Porsche and a Yorkie don't go together. Turns out they have Golden Retriever too. The Yorkie is "Georgia" and the Retriever is "Rebel". Guess where they are from. Nice, happy family with well behaved teenagers. I hope they don't try to put in a fancy outdoor grill or something.

Ha! Clearly, you don't know these kids well enough. This is an oxymoron.

You may be right. I might have mistaken social skill and a lack of slack-jaw as good behavior. For all I know they might be fornicating like rabbits and have grow lamps in their rooms.

Reminds me of a (yes, I watch it from time to time) Judge Judy line:

Q: "How do you tell when teenagers are lying?"
A: "Their lips are moving."

There's always the chance Mandrake's right, too. Ask them about AE and find out if they're Canoerebel's relatives.

OK, who's the wiseguy?

All of a sudden I am getting "pop-up" ads (this what they call them, it's not what you think) for single men in my area. Who is responsible?

Do you think it is because I googled for start times for Les Miz?

Maybe the Clinic staffer who brought your printout with the "Hot Asian Action" header talked to your IT guys and they did a little something for you...[:D]

No, that would be insufficient by itself. You didn't also happen to look up tickets for Liza Minelli concerts, did you? That would have been prima faciae evidence for the algorithms.

The mem-sahib decides we have to watch some film called "The Notebook" By the end she she's blubbing like a little girl. Next day she mentions it to the DU who says she'd never heard of it until the toerag asked her to watch it with him. I asked if he also likes Liza Minelli movies. DU gives me icy stares. That's the problem with kids these days, no sense of humour.

Did I also tell you he won't eat green beans because they squeak?

Edit for freudian slip.
