Hit the link to see a map of Toungoo. I wonder if the hex should be clear? note the north south valley.

South Burma position. I dropped an Airborne brigade unprepped into Pegu this turn. Wanted to insure no rail movement from Rangoon to Moulmein. May have caused all units coming out of Rangoon to detrain and fight!!! Will see in the replay. Ten allied divisions to the NE moving to cut retreat path.

Another blistering attack on the road to Pegu. Looks like 5 more divisions will be destroyed on the Pegu/Toungoo road. Intel reports 5 fresh IJA divisions UNDER THE 14TH ARMY at Pegu moving to Moulein. REMEMBER THAT THE 25TH ARMY IS IN ISOLATION AT THE AKYAB POCKET.
So looks like ten IJA divisions will be destroyed in Burma. If I can catch the 8th Area army before it crosses the river to Moulmein then I may bag 15 IJA divisions in Burma. Does anyone know how many divisions the japs get? I am starting to wonder about the strategic implications...

A big Turn... All eyes are on south Burma. Does FatR pull out another trick from his bag, or has Bigred finally put the nails into the FatR coffin at Burma Theatre?
Not mentioned below is the allied infantry division moving down the east bank of the Pegu river. It has moved 44 of 46 miles, is in combat mode and will be sitting on the hex between Pegu and Moulmien this turn. If FatR crosses the river then he will have to make a shock attack. If FatR put his rested divisions in move mode they may get out of Pegu but then have to make a cross river shock attack.

The 2000AV you have 1 day out- why are they in pursuit mode? Pursuit mode is a sub set of combat mode and as far as I know you can only select it when in a hex with an enemy force. After pursuing a defeated enemy if they don't make it all the way to the hex the enemy has retreated to I'd switch them to move mode if you want them to catch up quickly.

My experience on the Pegu road was If in pursuit mode and w/in one day march of the battle the pursuit troops will participate if a pursuit is allowed. Seems if the adjacent troops arrive in hex before the battle then they will participate in pursuit if placed into pursuit mode the day before.
I note the road and terrain made it easy to execute. If I had been in jungle w/ trail this might not occur.
This is why FatR went from 100000troops to 40000troops on the road to Toungou.
