A6M2 does not fly.
Better CVP fly to Haichow as bomber.
Less good (what I can afford to lose) CVP as front bomber in south, NAV will follow and FTR in China escorts. FTR lands in Shanghai, others same place they start.
Axis choose assault in all 3 combats.

There's only 1 CVP. Send that to Haichow and the Nav with Ftr to Soovhow?

Both bombers south even if there is one ground factor too much.

The Nationalist Ftr scrambles to intercept. Odds are +1/-1 in Axis favour.
Round 1 Axis 10 DC, Allies 9 AC. The Jap Nav is cleared though. Chinese stay. Japs?

Round 2. Axis 13 NE. Allies 6 AA. CVP is aborted and Nationalist Ftr bugs out.
I'll have to pause here until Internet is working again.

First to Russia where it turns out I have made a bit of a mess. With 2 Arm and 2 Mech attacking I'd assumed it would have been my choice for a Blitz. I'd overlooked that pesky PzJag 1. Oh well, here goes on Assault.
Better than anticipated. I presume Mayhemizer would elect to shatter the two most expensive units and destroy the Inf.

The advance after combat over-runs and destroys the disorganised Italian Ju-88.
To Haichow, which goes horribly wrong for the Communists. At least 2 Mil are pretty cheap and quick to replace.

The Nationalist effort goes well. I'm not sure which of these Mayhemizer would shatter, so I'll leave the choice to him.

CW rebases a CVP in the Italian Coast.
Yeremenko reorgs the Inf, Mech and Ftr.
Back to Axis.

Happy New Year to everyone!
Here is situation in USSR southern front after counter attack during Allied impulse 3. Can you see German infantry storming (some +7) against lonely ARM? That is what Guderian as new commander of southern front will order as soon as his train arrives to south...

No surprise points. How do CW want to place 2A? Where do aborted ships go?

Germany rails ARM to Rostov, ARM HQ Guderian from northern front to southern front, and INF HQ Mannerheim to northern front.
Italy rails INF div from Estonia to France.
Japan retreats in China, they have land units only in Shangai and Haichow.
3 land combats:
Japs in Haichow makes a counter attack with full shore bombardment (+8).
Germany attacks ARM in southern front with infantry (+7,333).
Germany attacks disorganized INF near Moscow (29:3 = +19,333), USSR can fly 1 point ground support if they want.
Do USSR want to fly? If so, where do the fighter land?
Edit: Germany can't intercept.

I don't thing 1 point of air support is going to dramatically turn the tide of battle, so no thanks.
