How about Stallone? Rocky 35 anyone?

Stallone is about with Gov. Arnold S. (imo)

Both are capable of expression, but it looks like a distinct effort to produce the facial contortions of emotion. Plankish, but not Great Planks.
I would put stallone in the over acting category. He's stone faced a lot of the time, but when you do get a facial expression, look out, someone could get hurt. [:D]

Ooo, can't wait. Those Die Hard movies are lots of fun.
I agree. I wasn't real big on the second one, but the first and third were great. I loved Samuel L Jackson's character. "Why do you keep callin' me Jesus, do I look Puerto Rican to you....It's Zeus, like god of olympus Zeus...don't mess with me or I'll shove a lighting bolt up your a#$, Zeus." [:D]

Another good B movie actor is Bruce Campbell. He did the Army of Darkness. It was a good B movie because they knew they were making a B movie and did not take themselves too seriously.

On the subject of movies, I was reading Time magaizine at lunch and found out they are making a WW1 movie about the Lafeyette Escadrelle (spelling?[:D]). I think it's called Flyboys. It will use some computer generated graphics, but they have 6 flying aircraft, a couple of Neuports, a Sopwith (not a camel) and at least one Fokker DR1 triplane. It could be good. The article said it would be out in October. It's being filmed in England.

MENTOS AND DIET COKE REDUX

This is amazing - these two birds spent >$500 on Diet Coke and Mentos and developed some new techniques to get this terrific video:

i'm with you - #2 wasn't as good, plus it had a plot point that wouldn't work, and the story sort of hinged on it. It wasn't anything terribly major and was technical, but to my mind, it just sort of messed up the whole story.

Someone mentioned Crow. I liked him in Master and Commander. This was a case of I liked the movie better than the book. I can not remember the author's name. I read 2 of his books and did not like them and did not read any more.

CS Forester was the best for naval fiction in that era. Alexander Kent was right behind. Forester also did Captain from Conneticut For the US point of view in the War of 1812.

From the WWII era he dis Sink the Bismark and 1 title I can't remember about a US destroyer doing Atlantic escort duty. I have the title downstairs if anyone wants to know what it is. It was a very good book.

The smart one generally end up as politicians or contractors. [8|] [:'(]
Interesting observation Robert. Ever notice how often the two are in cahoots.

We had a big scandal in Denver not so long ago, in one of our suburbs actually. Turns out the city's board of directors, that actually run the city, had 3 of its 5 members in a partnership in a big real estate development firm. The board would direct the rezoning of land for development and somehow the real esate developers always ended up owning the land. I think one of the board memebers actualy ended up doing time and the others were simply forced to resign.

Quotes from tonight' Simpsons rerun (Don't Fear the Roofer):

Marge "... why you didn't show up to finish our roof?"

Ray the Roofer: "You forget - I'm a contractor!"

Marge : (laughter) "That's right! You're all crooks!!"

Ray the Roofer: (laughter) "Yeah, we're all crooks..."

Ah - the Crow we were talking about was Crow T. Robot... that would be Crow on the left, followed by Joel Robinson and Tom Servo on the right.

EDIT: i should point out that Tom Servo is in costume, and normally does not dress this way...

I've got another one! I am sitting here listening to the Discovery Channel behind me. They are talking about the Arizona Cardinals new stadium. The footbal field is natural grass and will be moved into the dome for games and then moved out for sun etc.

Not sure about WGN - they were on some local cable access, then SciFi Channel, then Comedy Central...

Ok, my favorite B movie actor (seriously) is not really a movie actor as much as TV. It's that guy that played McGyver and Col what's his name on Stargate SG1. Loved his irreverent since of humor.

That would be Richard Dean Anderson.

Not to be confused with another B-movie guy: Harry Dean Stanton.

Yep. They're trying to climb from their Stealth Fighter/Transport up through the belly of the 747, and BA-WHOOSH, it goes from being a Steven Seagal movie to a Kurt Russell movie. BTW, Mr. Russell should have retired after Escape from New York, he's been on a steep downward slope since then...

But he did Big Trouble in Little China. A classic B-movie.
