CW Aligns Yugoslavia. True to form, the US reacts with horror and an entry chit is removed (4 rolled).

CW Naval, China Land, the rest Combined.

CW sends 7 CA's from Port Said to East Med 4-box. I assumed Mayhemizer wouldn't try to intercept. The Greek navy (2CA/CL) starts escort work in the East Med 0-box. Various other escorts are sent out, including 2 CL to Cape Verde, followed by 4 CP's from Gib. 3 BB and 4 CA sail to Italian Coast 2-box from Gib. 3 subs go to Italian Coast 3-box. The Queens sail into East Med. I presume the Regia Marina will want to intercept? What do you want to use for searches?

Ouch. That is very unhealthy for the Germans. Especially with many troops potentially pinned in Greece.
If the Soviets were somehow ready they could have even declared war and marched into Romania or so at full force.
But I do not know which forces are at hand there!

The Soviets aren't quite ready to march yet - 3 Inf, HQ, 3 Art on the Rumanian border plus a Mech and Cav nearby - and the air force needs rebasing but we shall see.

Use some CL please.

My "minor mistake" came to cost me a lot. I calculated garrison value and then attacked in Finland and all of them became disorganized...

The weakest CL initiates searching. On a 9, it doesn't get very far and the Queens proceed to the Indian Ocean.

Next out the traps is a Trans into the East Med. A 3 nearly catches it before it puts into Alexandria. A Trans in Malta sails back to Gib. A Trans in Gib loads Gort into the Biscay 0-box. Finally, a Trans leaves Greece into the Italian Coast. On a 2, the interception succeeds and the Trans elects to fight through from the 2-box. CW commits subs. Allied Search roll is a 1.

The Allies sacrifice the French sub and the weakest CW one.

How would the Italians like to play this?

D to CL Diaz and CL Attendolo
A to BB Vittorio Veneto and Littono

Aborts to La Spezia.

This will hurt.

Bari has the Italian Div, Euginio has the SS Div. I guess you won't want the X on Bari, how instead?

Who takes the D? I presume fight on?

BB Littono takes the D (possible abort to La Spezia). Italians will stay.

Is this combat still about transporter trying to break trough?

I am just not sure why CW made a full naval move when aligning Yugoslavia, and could have used some land moves ^^ but that's just me.
It gives time to Axis to react to new and sudden threats.

On a 5, the Littorio is aborted.
