In other news, I dragged my mom into the cellphone era today, by turning my old phone over to her, along with a pay-as-you-go SIM.

She was absolutely certain that she'd never be able to learn to use it, but by the time I got back to my own place, she called me up on it...

Drink tea, stare out the window, wonder if there's a new story on El Reg or new cartoon on Dilbert or Dork Tower, or if someone's posted something interesting on the Thread or in an AAR, what the cricket score is, etc, etc

My "team leader" and his 2 i/c went off for 4 hours to fix a snag, which they failed to fix, and left me to work by myself [8D] Got plenty done in that time as well [:)]

Team leaders are just there to take all the glory when things go well and to misinterpret information and explain it badly to their superiors. Who will then misinterpret that info and explain that to their superiors. Who will probably be too busy playing golf to care.
