Hi all, today I noticed that in the new database DB3k_515, the picture for the MQ-25A Stingray [#4917] displays an X-47B, while the X-47B entry [#4554] shows an MQ-25A!

Updated images & descriptions packs are now available on the WS downloads page!

The DB3000 update now contains 18897 files. The secondary image files pack remains as-is, and contains a total of 508 MB and 4,485 images.

The db514 and db515 updates only had additions for db3000; so no CWDB images were added (or needed). As with previous updates, the added entries for DB3000 resulted in some of the existing images falling into incorrect time slots. In some cases, the existing image was shifted to a new entry, which entailed finding a new and different image to backfill the shifted image. Here are the highlights:

1) New aircraft images, primarily for, but not restricted to, the USAF.

2) New weapon images. The majority are for Russian ICBM and Air-to-ground platforms. Plus a significant number of replacements

3) New naval images for the USN Ticonderoga CG, Arleigh Burke DDG, Los Angeles and Virginia submarine classes and a few foreign navy pics. Plus replacements due to some of the new db 514 / db 515 entries.

4) An overhaul of the meta data for the existing images of the US Navy surface vessels and submarines.

The images can also be downloaded on-demand from within CMO (no manual action needed). If you wish to re-download images that you have already got (e.g. to update), delete all files in these folders:
[CMO]\DB\Images\DB3000
[CMO]\DB\Images\CWDB

Special recognition for this release to kgambit, CV60, Blast33!

On the downloads page the DB3000 link does not work.

The link for the secondary images does work as advertised.

The CWDB and DB3000 download links are still not working, as was pointed out by Blast33, I just wanted to follow up and bring it to someone's attention. Thanks in advance.

I just checked, and both links work correctly, if you right-click on them and select "Save as....".

Thank you for following up and the suggestion. I don't know why that didn't occur to me, so thank you for the reminder to try.

Hi,

is this the right place to report possible image mismatches in database entries?

Entry #554 – GBU-31(V)1/B JDAM [Mk84] seems to have an incorrect picture. From what I can tell, the current image appears to show a variant with a BLU-109/B warhead rather than the Mk84 version.

I also vaguely remember seeing a few similar issues elsewhere, for example with some MiG-23 variants apparently using images of a different variant, or F/A-18C pictures appearing on F/A-18E Hornet entries. I would need to verify those again before posting any details.

Thanks for your work on the database images!

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check the weapon image again bur if you have a replacement please send it along.

I usually double check the US aircraft images against Joe Baughers BuNo archives but it's possible some could have slipped thru. I know that there is one bogus MiG-23 pic in the Egyptian air force but I thought the MiGs had been cleaned up. Again, if you have issues about specific images please drop me or Steve a pm.

Hello

Do these images have to be downloaded or can they be viewed on demand?

Both methods work.

The download link for the full package is in the first post of this thread.

Hi all.

Reporting issue with DB entry #4394 - LRHW.

Description appears correct. However, the type is a ballistic missile (BM), and the relevant characteristics also match those of a BM, and not an ASW weapon.

Will need correcting.

Thank you!

The images are now downloaded automatically, but I still miss images of some aircraft, weapons and sensors.
Is this WAD?
If not, is there a list what should be in de package and what should still be found on the internet?
