Noticed on the AAR , RAF Sqns being called "No. 67 Sqn RAF"   Shouldnt this be plain " 67 Sqn RAF"

As in WITP this was used for all Commonwealth Sqns it ends up looking very "clunky" plus if you try to identify the NZ, Canadian, Ditch or Belgian Sqns or show flights you quickly ran out of space (in WITP at least)

Its very nit picky, and not hard to correct.

Are the F-7 recon version of the B-24 in AE? Not a huge factor but there was a squadron assigned to 6th Recon Group in NG/PI(1943-45) and another assigned to India (1944-45). Certainly not an important aircraft in numbers terms but able to give the Allies a little more Recon punch

I my understanding both are legitimate. Funnily enough we were actually thinking about dropping the "No." to save on letters as much as anything. Letters are hard to come by ye see [:D]

Technically no. The official records and designations use Number 1 Squadron etc.

Wouldn't MB be Medium Bomber? The screen shot has both BM and MB.

No Skyraider? Bummer. I thought I had seen a list of new aircraft and it was on it. I reckon that's what the editor is for...

Oops, right. BM = level bombers, all.

Any chance of regaining a MIA pilot (escaped prison, washed up on a beach and is foyund by native girls?)

In Yamato Hugger's AAR, I notice he mentioned that the Japanese "Tabby" doesn't come online until 1944. Why is this? Wasn't it available much earlier in the war? I thought it was used in the New Guinea campaign, for example.

In Yamato Hugger's AAR, I notice he mentioned that the Japanese "Tabby" doesn't come online until 1944. Why is this? Wasn't it available much earlier in the war? I thought it was used in the New Guinea campaign, for example.

Sorry to harp on the Tabby, but unless I'm mistaken, it was produced in pretty significant numbers well before 1944. And it certainly was in use by the IJN before then.

The U.S. Strategic Bomber Survey reported that Showa Airplane Co. produced 416 Tabbies, 201 Vals, and one George -- and had overall capacity to produce about 881 aircraft total. Tabby production began in earnest in 1941, with 22 produced that year; it rose to 87 in 1942; dipped to 61 in 1943 (because, the report says, government planning was "poorly organized"); rose to 157 in 1944; and dropped to 87 in 1945 (thanks to strategic bombing). The plant had the capacity to produce 25 in 1941, 177 in 1942, 177 in 1943, 193 in 1944, and 113 in 1945. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't think AE should wait until 1944 to let the player produce the Tabby. It should be available from game start, and in significant numbers from 1942 on.

Moreover, Mitsui and Nakajima also produced aircraft based on the DC-3, though I'm not entirely clear on whether these were all "Tabbies" as they appear in WITP. Check out http://www.dc3history.org/dc3.htm. (Incidentally, the USSBS report says Mitsui eventually acquired Showa in 1945.)

Nor were all these Tabbies reserved for civilian service. The USSBS report seems to indicate the government ordered them for the Navy. Certainly some Tabbies were in military service before 1944. This book mentions a B-24 shooting down a Tabby in August 1943 near Celebes. I think the same incident is memorialized by a cool photo at the bottom of this page. Here it is:
