Well, it's official. The Ohio Army National Guard now has a brand spanking new (figuratively, of course) SSG Mogami.
I didn't get any pics. (Smacks self)
I'll get some when he starts drilling and gets his uniforms. I'll also get some from Origins. (Smacks self again)
Arrghh... no pics... oh, the pain, the pain!!
CONGRATS, Mogami!!!

Did he count as a retread, or a complete rebuild?[:'(]

Just a retread. We gotta ease him through 3 years so he can retire.
The important thing he asked me about was Origins. Beer is $5 each, so he wanted to know where the nearest VFW was so he could get cheaper beer.[:D]

The other day, a man was murdered with a knife in Copenhagen. That in itself is not unusual (more's the pity). What's unusual is that he was stabbed so many times that it was impossible to count the number of wounds![X(]
The reason? The killer asked the man for a cigarette, and when he said he didn't have one, the guy drew a hunting knife he was carrying in a scabbard around his neck and attacked. The victim's head was almost severed.
Turned out the killer was a psychotic who'd stopped taking his medicine. Sounds like a bad joke, but it isn't...

I thought you Danes were supposed to be more civilized than that.
You sure the guy wasn't a cartoon writer?

Or a lawyer... Nope, he was psychotic (specific nature not publicly released), and had stopped taking his medication several weeks before. The cops arrested him about 15 minutes after the deed, walking down the street, covered in his victim's blood. He surrendered without incident, his only commentary, "I snapped".

Can you imagine the kind of insane rage that would make somebody stab somebody else so many times, that the WOUNDS CAN'T BE COUNTED???
Yikes...

Not really, but it reminds me of the report I heard on NPR the other day. The phenomenon known as road rage is actually a manifestation of a larger disorder. I don't recall the disorders complete name, but it is something like temporary explosive disorder. They estimate that as many as 20% of males suffer from it from time to time. Women also suffer from it, but it is not as common. It is typified by brief explosive outbursts of rage (irrational angry outbursts). It happens more often in the home, but is also seen in stressful situations like traffic. Seems that good anger management is a growing need in societies.

Ba-dum-bump!
Saw two historical documentaries on TV yesternight, one on the First Crusade and one on Hannibal. Nice to actually have an evening where TV was worth watching...
