Cap'n-any further identification on the origin of the Val unit? It could be either an LBA unit or a 'bought' air wing from a sunk carrier. The latter would take some time to become available in the cue again-1 year IIRC. That's about right, given your bloodbath(s) in and around New Scotland and New (and Improved) Hebrides.

They are D3A2's if that matters.

Fairly capable drivers. 20% hit rate of undamaged DD's doing figure-of-eights at 30 kts. 40% hit rate on an unescorted AK. 40 morning Val sorites. Fewer of them now than existed at the start of the turn.

You access the list of destroyed air groups as an undermenu toggle under 'group reinforcement schedule', IIRC (at work, no game to double check). Once you select the undermenu button ('destroyed air groups') it will bring up a list of destroyed air groups, their cost in PP and time to return to your OOB.

As one might expect..we do have a few..USN groups. What we dont have is F4F's or many SBD's. We have lots of TBF's.

Ditto the USAAF groups. No replacement aircraft.

Can the F4F units be upgraded to F4U, F6F or FM-2? In about three months, you guys'll be inundated with F6F replacements and then you WILL have beaucoup F4Fs in your replacement pools.

Of course, this is all academic at this point. This war will be over within the next year.
