Well, I didn't actually say they had to be "working" fighters. Also, you are overlooking our courageous P-43 and P-36 squadrons in the South Pacific and the luxurious RAF inventory of Mowhawk IV's.

PI: Wing Plan R for "Robert" worked pretty well...so far. I guess the P-38 drivers got up early because they beat the Corsairs to the punch from over 500 miles away while the Corsairs just had to fly 40 mi. Not sure whey we came in at Angels 15. I blame the staff.

7.4.2.3 KAMIKAZES
Kamikazes are activated if the Allies own a base within 15 hexes (traced by sea only) of either
Tokyo, Takao, or Saigon. However, these will never activate before January 1, 1944.

I think it's been decided that the distance is wrong but the date holds good.

If you count partial sea hexes and don't count the hex of origin then Batangas seems to trigger the clock. Iba would certainly start the clock. Of course, if we reach Tokyo Bay and make the Emperor run counterclockwise around USS Missouri singing "Farmer in the Dell" with his trousers down before January 1944 then we are OK.

Several of the crew, who can be identified by their massive arm and shoulder muscles, drink heavily at the bar. It is a bittersweet day. I swear. The S-18 cost us at least 500 PP's. We could have bought a '26 Dusenberg or something.

It appears Atago survived that fight in the Surigao Strait and the multiple 1000 lbr hits. Kuma and Tanikaze claimed...well..maybe.

Well, it had probably oxidized what with all that humidity there. The IJA was probably just taking it back to the home islands for polishing and refurbishment. They would returned it 'later', I'm sure.
