Garage is detached. Plus an unused furnace vent near the smoker, fits well on a work bench next to a window. A perfect setup. Prices for dining around the Mayo Clinic are crazy. Up to $75 for a T-bone, $55 for prime rib of a steak dinner for two is only $110.[X(]We did Dominos Pizza pick-up. A large Extravaganza under $15. Cheaper than here in Grand Forks. My best friend is a pro on knowing the ins and outs of Rochester and the Mayo. Overall a good time. He went down for his back me over to urology. We will be both going back down for surgeries in August/September. He back surgery me bladder replacement. We are going to be a couple of sorry asses on the way back. He on his stomach me on my back. His wife will be our driver on the way back. God help us. She does not do well driving through Minneapolis.

Best of luck to you both, Marc! Glad to hear you have a pretty good support network as well. [:)]

Bypass the Twin Cities if you have to. Go over to Mankato then NW from there to I-29.
That is my thought if she is driving. We may be able to lasso his brother-in-law in Alexandria or my cousin here in town. Either way his wife is not cut out for cities driving.

There's like 500 groups doing BBQ. A lot are just civvies who have made their own set-ups - everything from split 55 gallon oil drums to things much larger. And I am not licensed to carry so no way I am criticizing their cooking.[8D]
A wise decision! I do not care for the ribs that have too much gooey sauce slathered all over them. A dry rub work for my taste, no matter how spicy it is!

Yes. Me too. I am super pickey on BBQ. A good dry rub. There is a Mediterranean style recipe out there that I think is the best. There was a restaurant called LaBrasa in town that had the best. Unfortunately they moved to England so wife will be close to home.

On the General thread, ask RFalvo69 if he is familiar with anything like that.

Neighbor at the lake of over 50 years has one kid that does a lot of smoking, over 130 recipes. My cousin swears by it. So I'll get some pointers from him.

What a day this has been so far. I get woken up early. Then a young male and a slightly older female decide to play in the shower - among other places. The shower curtain is wrecked, although I had it up higher, somehow it came down. But lots of noise so no getting back to sleep. Hopefully the female has burn some phat off her body.

Remind me of when my Labrador RB and Labrador Cleo I was watching for the week busted out of the house when China Garden Delivery guy arrived with my food. Rats. Grabbed food. Then grabbed leash and collar. Found Cleo a down at the park near the house. Hmmm. No RB. He always is within 20' of Cleo. I around and He was RB had shot into the public pool past the staff and went swimming. I went in to get him. Not a word said they just pointed. They knew who I was after. All the kids were having a blast with him. Instant neighborhood legend. Still talked about to this day.
