I bet dollars against nuts it will be either Mersing or Johore Bharu. Probably the second one. With supply sink in Kuala Lumpur Nemo wouldn't like to go through all peninsula. And he did this in his other games.
Also watch your other supply sinks, Nemo wrote some time ago that his method of defeating them would be sending first small infantry unit then waiting till supply level drops due to resource production stop when enemy units in a hex and then walking through them later with real forces. Palembang comes on my mind as a possible invasion site on turn 1.

I will be happy if he does that. No resources production = no stockpile when Japan captures.

If Japan lands at Mersing/Johore, I will send my 20 subs to Malaya ASAP

i try to test norhern approach
malacca straits is death zone for transport as many know from their PBEM
but...
what if i use old "c" and "d" class cruisers / they have only 50/25 exp so they are useless against jap surface units/ as a fast transport with base at sabang - in tests they were even able to shift CD unit with 9.2 guns /4 cruisers/ there are 2 transport air units in the area - they can be used to airlift northern force too
looks like i need to save some troops not only in "cadre" shape
if they blitz malaya they open time window to strike india
sadly speaking i have forces but .. they are not deployed correctly
anything arriving aden will need 2 weeks to reach karachi and later 2 to hit potential frontline
and many units / arm units / are in bad shape and need staing in karachi

last i was the one who had big stick in hand on malayas - nice reversal in position

Yes, but for example in India you do not include Aden as a source of both oil and resources.

1400 Oil daily for Aden, so India has a surplus of Oil at start.
Yeah, I didn't add Aden to India on purpose because they are not connected via the road/rail-network. Aden would scew the table and make it look like India does not have to be supplied with tankers. But I can make a better screenshot later today.
Oz and Nz have a deficit of Oil. NZ with one tanker monthly will suffice. Oz will need at least 4. And Comrade Stalin will need at least 2, if he wants capitalist things [;)]
Well, as long as the capitalist scum is still around, it can help me eliminate the fascist scum first. This is all about priorities. [:D] Comrade Stalin graciously accepts your offer of assistance - for now. [;)] Some AKs will be sent to the US for supplies, too.

I have some ideas regarding the lend-lease route to Vladivostock. They involve screenshots and lots of role-playing. I think you will like it. [:)]

Sneer you could use air tran to evac as much as possible of the CW Bdes to India and perhaps the Aussie Bdes but allow some or all the Indian units (minus cadre) to reinforce ABDA on Java i.e. lend a few Bdes to help out and try to buy India time (perhaps in exchange for a ML or two to mine your Indian ports. i.e. send equivalent of 1 Indian Div to Java from Malaya plus AA regts etc in exchange for some Dutch tankers/transport planes to help evac Malaya and perhaps a couple of float planes for evaccing cadres to Burma in the early going !!!

That way you minimise the need for subs (RN and Dutch with working Torps and USN with working mines) required for sub transport duties.

I do think ABDA needs to be as strong and as unified as possible with support from all other commands if you all try to keep hold of national assets SRA will just go down that much quicker.

p.s. you will need to talk to SWPAC about what escorts are available for 6th and 7th Aus Div convoys whether they go to India or Aus they will need heavy screening which pretty much neuters the RN guarding those convoys.

i though initially about 2 USN subs that starts war in manilla with 20 sys dmg - they could be lend me and i would repair them later in india before returning back
i have 3 subs in my own - with 5 subs i can pick 5 cadres every 2 weeks
6&7th AIF  will get to sydney in 70 days so we have time and we should know meanwhile where enemy spearhead is aimed

all i need is to strenghten ceylon as in any Nemo's action india invasion starts with ceylon

Sneer I would perhaps ask the USN player to switch a couple of his big fleet boats at manila for your RN ones at least the RN boats have working torps.

Perhaps allocate one player to be CinC offensive sub ops and co ordinate all boats not on transport ops ?

At least until the SRA is conquered.

Dont underestimate the air bridge from Malaya to rangoon using PBY's/Catalinas or Dorniers get what you can out by that route to avoid having to use subs

Malaya Army HQ is very good to save as it is a NON respawning HQ and having a command HQ to cover either the North Sector or the Madras Sector (and also to hasten repair of units) is a good thing.

He may land at Johore on Day 2. None of house rules prohibits it. Not that it matters much, landing at Mersing will cut Malaya defense nicely too.

after i landed at mersing on day 1 i had singapore done before 26th Dec so with johore attacked i see it as possible even faster
main problem is that on day4-5 when he captures hohore there will be swarn of zero/bettys and singapore will be out of use for air and navy

as far as evacuation is concerned
there are 2 australian fast AMC with 1000 capacity and 4 small 600-2000 AKS in singapore + 6 barges - i should be able to save cadres easily

i do plan even to evac HK garrison - beside CD guns its toe is universal inf BDE so it would be nice to have it rebuilt

as for johore baru - i assume that whole air force will concentrate on destroying singapore airfield and invasion will be covered by all available heavy ships - 2 kongos and at least 4- maybe even 6 Ca's
force Z is no match for them in this mod - experiance diffrence is huge - even if they manage to stay in good shape they will achieve little against convoy
true dillema here

Then a possible Kuching invasion fleet would be either light on SC escorts, or the invasion postponed. The first case would be an opportunity for the RN, the second case would allow ABDA to bolster the defences of Kuching.

btw did you noticed there is no replacement for sb2m beside 150 planes in pool - considering upgrade is in 43 you may find yourself out of level bombers is war happens in 42

Chinese squadrons can use both SB-2 and SB-2M in game. We can of course make an agreement here as I don't expect to be able to use my bombers extensively.

Yes, I noticed, but I just assumed it was historically correct. It probably is more realistic, the problem is that Cid made the Pe-2, the major Soviet bomber, a dive bomber instead of a level bomber, so my SB-2m cannot upgrade to Pe-2. I'll post it in the scenario forum.

Edit: I can upgrade the SB-2m's to IL-4C, but that's a crappy bomber, and I share the pool (build rate of 14) with the Chinese, so that's not a solution, either.

Do you honestly think they would attack the HI?
I would rather get those troops sent into the southern pacific once we have an idea of where the main push is going to be.
I would also like to set up a sub base in the Dutch Harbor area. I think its the closest to Japan once the torpedo's start working.
As for the USFFE airgroups. I would like specifics from my British and commonwealth brethern. I favor moving most of them to Australia. However I could be pursuaded to have some heavies go into burma.

Well, Cid has disallowed the invasion of India by logisitcs reasons.

So Nemo will want to for the kill in Russia (1st option), Australia/New Zealand, Pacific Islands or go to the kill for HI (2nd option).

Pacific Islands are not game killer. Russia can defend itself, Australia can delay until reinforcemets arrive, but if Hawaian islands are lost then all the strategic position for the USA are worsened (maybe fatally).

Also all the starting US Army forces begin the game disabled/needing reinforcements. The most ready divisions are the ones that are moved to South Pacific, and the disabled ones are moved into the HI, so USN Pacific Command can help into their rebuild.

When the initial danger to HI can be disregarded, then we can move the fully rebuilt 40th, 7th US Army Divs and 2nd USMC foward towards Noumea or to reinforce Australia.

Just a quick FYI guys - the last time I tried to move troops using Dutch subs it failed because they are too small to load anything (or maybe almost anything) in LCU's. It was pretty much the same with the British subs. If you use subs you need the American subs.

Regarding changes in the mod we're going to use. Have you decided what would you like to get? I, as China, don't think I need anything except more supply, and this won't happen so I will support other changes. How about increasing allied fighter production and pilot pools?
