It won't be stand-alone.

Yes, I realized that, which is why I put that info in (), just for accuracie's sake. The Opp Front and Ad Ed are very different add on's, but they may have the same effect on your HD.

Some savy types routinely defrag their HDs after adding new programs.

I'm thilled... I can't wait for this to come out.

I noticed a 'moonlight' percentage too, which seems like a great addition.

What a very cool time to get a nice job offer. I will soon have a much nicer computer with which to play AE. But will I be home enough to do it?

Congrats on new job...

Looking forward to burning up more of my wife's patience with..."just one more turn dear" when she is getting after me about honey do's

Good to see you...

Haven't seen you around in a long time. Maybe we'll have to fire up a pbem again when the new edition comes out. [:)]

Unfortunately not. A WITP II would have new code (which would hopefully be much more amienable to AI improvements) than the current 2by3 designed code. No such claim is being made for the "Admiral's Edition", so it is basically an "expansion package" with new "bells and whistles" based on the old code. Undoubtedly a lot of good stuff, but still resting on the old foundation (and still facing some of the same basic limitations).

I guess you have to be right, Mike. So far, I only could superficially read the FAQ threads in the Scenario section. Some improvements are really nice: "manual" supplies, maximum tonnage per port (so ships won't be able to rearm: the crazy naval bombardment runs that is), more planes will be damaged (keeping the 100% of the air force operational is ahistorical, especially in the middle of nowhere: New Guinea, etc.) and a long etc which I have to check [:)]

Like Mike said, this is not WitP 2. That would be a much bigger project...

Doesn't mean the AE won't be good (it will). I'm biased, of course...[;)]
