Turn 33

AGN: Solidified for the moment. Finnish counterattack to help straighten the line.

AGC: Seriously weak here. I would like to counterattack but I first winter penalties are brutal. I am setting up the 4 panzer corps for reserves.

AGS: An SU armour brigade made it across the Dnepr. It was unceremoniously returned to sender. An isolated infantry division surrendered. There was some discussion in OKH as to whether or not the commanding officer should be promoted to Field Marshal since none had ever surrendered before. It was decided not to since it was only an infantry division after all.

Turn 34

February and I am wondering when will the blizzard end.

AGN: looking good here. The whole formation is creeping south to take away some of the pressure on AGC.

AGC: Continuing to withdraw and reform the line.

AGS: Again and turn to withdraw. Appears I am going to loose another infantry division. OKH is silent on the issue. 2 SU formations made it across the Dnepr. I counterattacked but I cannot shove them. On the SU assault to get across the river I had a armour and infantry division defending the hex. Foolish move. Armour takes territory but awful at keeping it. The armour division lost half its tanks.

Turn 35

AGN: The Finns are beginning an offensive in the hopes of drawing resources from other areas of the SU line.

AGC: Quite this last turn. Some resupply and shuffling.

AGS: Cleared 1 of the hexes west of the Dnepr occupied by SU units. Withdraw again for the rest of the line. I division is isolated. I will try to keep it alive with aerial resupply. Reinforcements arriving for both the AGC and AGS.

Turn 36

The bulk of the SU assaults were in the centre which held up surprisingly well. I have the mobile formations all in reserve mode but few seems to be jumping into the defence. I'll have to review the manual to see what I am doing wrong.

Turn 37

AGC gets pounded again but most of the lines hold. The AI lulled me into a false sense of security in the deep south and they broke through at the end. There are now several incursions across the Dnepr I simply cannot repel.

Regarding the reserves, regiments have a better chance at being committed than divisions so just about everything was broken down.
