Yeah, I think it's only the Allied AI that might not work with DaBigBabes.
That's the problem for me. [:)]
When I finish my current I'm going to paly something, some scenario, on the Japanese side to learn the production system. So I guess I'll have two games going.
Oh, I thought you were playing as Allies against Japanese AI!
I am now. When I finish I think it'll be Da Babes Lite as Allies, and probably stock Scen 2 as Japanese vs. AI. I suppose I could play DB Lite for both and compare. Have to noodle on that one a bit.

Only DBB, that has monster other changes, is AI restricted.
BabesLite is exactly the same as stock and plays against the AI just like stock for both sides.
You thnk that was clear enough? or do you think I should I make it a bit more enhanced? There's probably a great many people out there that still ain't able to grasp the concept.

Yeah... a year and a half RL into a game a restart just isn't happening. [;)]
You could play parallel games.
Unfortunately there are only so many hours in the day...

I've waded through all these post and the result appears to be:
Jap ASW plus other stuff now works with BigDaBabes but Allied AI is no good.
Jap ASW plus other stuff now works with Babeslite but it does not have all the changes the BigDaBabes has.
The only way to overcome the ASW problem is to restart using the above. As others have said I'm not going to do that so I'll live with it (how long is a different matter).
The forthcoming patch will not correct the Jap ASW problem
Can this points all be confirmed please.

the Jap ASW problem
Chris, I'm not sure that there's universal agreement on the extent or the existence of 'the Jap ASW problem'. As some posters have opined above, universal ahistoric treatment of the ASW war by the Japs (more escorts, more airborne ASW training, etc.) will result in an ahistoric treatment of the ASW war in a game. Whether that represents a 'problem' or not is a subjective and personalized response.
If you believe that 'the problem' is insurmountable and affects your enjoyment of the game, then you may wish to play another modified game with the Japanese capabilities further muted. If not, then this 'problem' may be so much sound and fury without substance in your eyes. Judge for yourself, mate.
As far as mid-GC patching to nerf ASW / SS operations (again), doesn't look like it's going to happen. Thank goodness.

Agreed. Enough with the nerfing already.
There are mods out there already that tweak the ASW stats.

Other option: Concentrate on destroying as much as possible Jap ASW assets before these "E" boats arrive ? So at least their numbers drop and the "E" class alone will not pose such a threat.
Btw: Read the stats of some of the late war Jap escorts, they seem quite capable on paper.

Yeah? well neither is a code change. So you can either restart and get it done or don't do anything and keep on whining. If you keep on whining nobody will pay any attention except other whinebois anyway, so looks like the choice is yours.
Do or do not, I really don't care..
If you do not, then go to the 'nobody cares anyway' whine corner, or go not and just shut up.
Obviously if you are gonna be a dork about it, nobody is gonna pay a pinch of owl dung's worth of attention. 10 bonus points if anybody can say who, and when for that little quote.
Oh wow, I only just noticed this, until someone brought it to my attention.
(Ironically)
Reported. For all the good it'll do.

Anarchy is right, it was about John Pope.
I believe it was one of McClellan's Brigadiers, Sam Sturgis. His troops were blocking Haupt's rail transportation between DC and Manassas (Pope) and when Haupt asked him to clear the rails so he could supply Pope he replied, "I don't care one pinch of owl dung for Pope."

Thanks, was somewhat tortured not knowing who it was.

To quote my self. well it is not so easy to destroy Jap ASW, as we have no setting for target priorityies (however I dont want to have this setting, it would add more microm.).
Guess some carrier strikes on ports were ASW assets maybe located could help ? Trying that out, cause I checked to ASW forces to come and they are really good in game. Well untill now (late 42) the Jap isn´t very good at battling subs - this will change I supose?

I think the character of the sub war will change, away from very far rear areas like around the Home Islands, to areas just beyond the Allied advance, for just such a reason. Raids and such.
ASW forces are worth very little though, are very numerous, and tend to be found in already very well secure areas, so I'm not sure just how much attrition you can dish out even if you make it a priority.

Don't you love farce?
My fault I fear;
I thought that you'd want what I want;
Sorry, my dear;
But where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns!
Don't bother, they're here!
Ever wonder why the devs don't bother with this forum?
