the axis panzer numbers are realy low and that will lead us into a very intresting blizzard. i hope he has some kind of "panther-line" in preperation as a fallback position or you will bring his army well below 3 millions and his tank strength well under 1000 by the end of the blizzard.

it would be wise for him to do only moral boosting attacks in winter and then to fall back at least 8-10 hexes in december into a fortline with level 2 forts and terrain advantage.

He is preparing a fall back line west of Voronezh. There is a bulge there and it is very wise of him to pull back in that area. Other then that he will try to hold the line in level 2/3 forts and using cities as shelter. This can be very effective. I have only played one reduced blizzard as Axis and used the same strategy with great success.

T20 - North

I took maps so I post them. There are no battles this turn. I receive two additional guard rifle divisions.

Many turns ago I put an airbase north of Leningrad with nothing but fighters in them. This has been very effective during the air war. Once Leningrad is encircled I will put these fighters into reserve and use the airbase to resupply the pocket.

16th and 13th army have mostly guard divisions in them. I bet they turn into guard armies during blizzard.

Still some supply problems here but nothing I can exploit.

All quiet on the Southern Front.

It is odd to only be confronted with Romanians in this sector.

T20 - Data

Forgot to take the OOB screenshot. Instead I am showing Axis air losses. The bomber losses are astounding. Armaments are finally at 0.

I've never seen airlosses like that - although you have paid a heavy price too for doing so much damage.

Its not as if you've only been able to destroy JU-97s with so many tactical bombers lost as well

What makes it even more surprising is that 3000+ of my losses are from T1 airfield bombings. [X(]

No combats and maps haven't changed so I go straight to the data.

T21 - Air War

Two highlights of the Russian air force. The U2-VS can be quite useful for night bombings. If I read it correctly more then 40,000 airplanes of this type were produced until 1953.

T22 - Leningrad

Osinovets has fallen. I supply the pocket by air in the hope that I can delay his advance. Another epic air battle has taken place. More then 200 Russian fighters are participating and they shoot down plenty of bombers. I lose mostly obsolete I16.

T22 - VL

Interesting development. He decides to go for VL. I assume he wants to conquer the city and the terrain here to get a favorable position during blizzard. Cities, level 4 towns and good terrain are extremely important during reduced blizzard. VL gets encircled but I manage to break the encirclement.

T22 - Tula + Voronezh

He is very quiet in this sector building up fortifications. I continue counterattacking. I need to soften up his lines as much as I can before blizzard.

T22 - Crimea

What is happening here? He moves a Panzer Corps to the Crimea. I think his plan is to cut off my troops. I play it safe and retreat. He supplies his tanks by air five times. Also, I have started to fill the Crimea with infantry and tank brigades. My goal is to use them for reserve activation during attacking and defending.

13 attacks during this turn. Even the powerful air landing division gets a kick in the butt.

1 battle requires 1=2 due to reserve activation.
