After sinking some merchant shipping, the final target is the other Italian Transport, currently refitting in dry-dock. Further minor damage is caused but nothing serious.

CW sends out various escorts. A Trans sails an Inf from Liverpool to Gibraltar. The RN carrier force sails with 2BB and 1 CA escorting to the North Atlantic 2-box. I declined the intercept for this and the BB, CA and CVL that went to the 0-box.

3 areas for naval combat.

First up, North Atlantic.

CA Berwick is detached from convoy duties to search for the Kriegsmarine

Spotting aircraft from both sides rapidly find each other (1's rolled) and the Allies call in an air strike.

The German AA gunners put up a credible barrage causing many of Ark Royal's pilots to reduce their torpedoes too high or too early (3 points reduced).

However, the Hipper eats a couple and is heavily damaged.

How do the Germans wish to place the aborts?

You can place A's, Axis had enough and aborts to Kiel.

To get back to Kiel, the Germans must pass through the Faeroes Gap. HMS Newcastle attempts to intercept but confusing position signals mean the chance is lost (10 rolled). The German ships make it home.

The French cruiser initiates searching in the Italian Coast and the subs come to periscope depth. THey fail to find anything (Allies 6, Axis 8).

The French also decide to have a go for the Italian cruiser in the West Med. The Lorraine goes a-huntin'. The result turns farcical when the Italian ship sneaks up amongst them un-noticed (Allies 9, Axis 3).

Quelle boxes?

I can't see what do you have in each box. I choose the box that causes least damage (0 if many boxes are equal) and abort to La Spezia after this round.

Picture edited above. I'm guessing the 0-box.

The encounter takes on a surreal element when it appears the Italian captain is unaware the two countries are now at war and lets the ships pass before heading back to port (France had 3 surprise points due to DoW surprise impulse and reduced damage to NE).

RAF Hampdens fly a long-range mission to Stuttgart to avoid German fighters. The raid is considered a success.

The French lob a few practice rounds over the German border. Or at least that's where they think they went, nobody is really that sure.

USSR rails a Siberian Inf to Vilna and moves a few units near the northern and southern borders.

The Chinese pull back a bit.

French move a couple of units near the borders.

No attacks.

Georges reorganises the French bomber.

Netherlands set up.

Edit: One more ships is required to placed in Netherlands. Either 2 CP's or submarine. I think TRS is not going to Netherlands.

I placed 2 CP's from Far East to Rotterdam (Amsterdam was full), if you want something else, I will reload.

Edit2: after a good night sleep I have a better idea. If you place submarine to Rotterdam it can escape with out intercepted (unless Germany uses invasion).

Italy sends FTR and NAV to West Med box 2.

Germany sends FTR to North Sea box 2.

Italian submarines to Cape Verde Basin, East Med and Cape St. Vincent.

Axis initiates combat in all four sea areas.

East Med: Axis 2, Allied 6.

All points to increase damage.

I really have no idea how you want to place damage. So I aborted one French CP to Syria and other 2 CP's are sunk.

I totally can play this phase again if you want something else.
