SIPRES thank you for the help, I did create a custom campaign and all is well!

Go into the editor and go to Germany for example and check all of the units possible to be available for purchase. Save it and then load the custom campaign, start the game as axis and go to purchase screen you will see that the units at the bottom of the list will go out of the box and you can't select them for purchase.

Ok understood.
It seems to be a game engine limitation, there's not that much I can do about it.
I will post a screenshot to the tech support section.

very nice counters. I placed the bitmaps into some campaigns, but they do not show up, any hint? thanks!

Hi fulcrum28

first of all you have to create a custom campaign using editor
eg: opening 1939 campaign and save as "your campaign"

Then you should find the "_your campaign" folder in the following path:
C:\Users\Your computer name here\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWII - War In Europe\Campaigns

Just place the bitmap folder and its content there and it should work.

Hope its fixing your issue

Christophe

Fantastic mod SPIRES, thank you!

Here some things that could be improved:

1. It's hard to distinguish between the armies and corps. Maybe they should use completely different colours on the NATO symbols, not just different shades of the same colour?

2. Motorised/mechanised units. The truck image looks like it's a support, supply unit, not a combat unit. It would be better to replace it with an image of an halftrack or better still with an image of infantryman with a motorised NATO symbol in the background, to make it consistent with other units, like cavalry, para or engineers.

3. Soviet heavy tanks - currently it's KV-2. While it's certainly a cool piece of equipment, it was never a main stream type and wasn't used beyond 1941. KV-1 and then JS-2 would be more apropiarte.

4. I'm missing the minors HQ images. Maybe you could just use German cap for the Axis minors and British cap for Allied minors?

5. Zoomed out level - I understand it could be tricky. I think that a hybrid of your mod and NATO counters could work. Tanks and regular infantry images would be still recognisable even when zoomed out. As for the engineers, cavalry, paras, they could be replaced with NATO counters.

I'm eagerly waiting for the updates of this mod. Thank you again!

Just started playing SC again after a few months off. I love this mod, but Germans appear as Italians and the Italians have generic NATO symbols. I have tried reinstalling the mod but it still displays this way ... anyone else encounter this?

Yes, I am having the same issue. I recently reloaded SC W@W and created the new campaign as instructed for the mod. I have Italian Germans and the Italians are not using the mod graphics.

I am at a loss as what to do to fix.

The instructions for the mod were to create a new scenario file, so its not actually showing as a "mod" in the mod section. I have to select the scenario to use the graphics. I tried re-creating it, but that doesn't seem to get the job done.

I am positively surprised that people are still using this old Mod.
I think since I made this MOD the devellopers changed the country slots ID (when SCIII WaW was released)
I believe this is why there is some mismatch, I will have a look into
