If two species get on well with each other in the Star Wars films, books, etc and are part of a multi-species society found on a homeworld, then I am replicating that in this mod.
For example, if you play as a Corellian (the race of Han Solo), you will generally get on well with the Gran,Rodian,Ithorian,Gamorrean
Twi'lek,Aqualish,Klatooinian,Bothan and Mon Calamari.
However, just to make sure you do not have an easy time as a Corellian, negative bias between different families of species may cause you problems.

I have added all planets and races mentioned in Episode IV but still have another 43 races seen or mentioned in Episodes I, II III, V,VI or VI.
The majority of the 43 races will not be playable races.
In an update down the track more non playable races are going to be added across the Star Wars galaxy.

- Mon Cala in the middle... home of the Mon Calamari
-Dantooine mentioned in Episode IV at right.

The 50th species that have been added to the mod......
Jawas.
Yes we have only seen them on Tatooine however I have included them as a species that travelled beyond Tatooine for the following quoted reasons.
1...
"Analysis of ancient stone carvings found on numerous worlds, including Corellia and even Coruscant, led scientists of the Imperial Archaeological Division in 1 ABY to propose the hypothesis that these carvings were of Jawa origin and that their race once traveled among the stars. It is not known whether further analysis proved their hypothesis to be true"
2...
The Jawas also emigrated to other desert worlds, such as Ryloth and Florrum, and garbage planets, such as Raxus Prime, which was home to the Meeknu clan. One was even seen on the planet Genon, and several on the planet Coruscant. Another world where Jawas were present was Arcan IV.
Edt : Jawas have also been on Bith.

Mustafar....... not only well known for the battle in Episode III but the planet where a disturbance caused by a gathering of dark side energy drew Obi-Wan Kenobi's spirit to the planet after the destruction of the first Death Star.

First look at Jakku from Episode VII which was of significant importance to Emperor Palpatine pre-Return of the Jedi.
Jakku may be changed slightly as it used to be a forest world.
Interesting to see the Hutt also inhabit this world.

In The Empire Strikes Back Princess Leia calls Han Solo a "stuck-up, half-witted, scruffy-looking nerf herder!".
Nerf Herders made up part of the population on the planet Eadu seen in Rogue One...... the planet with lots of Storms where Galen Erso was killed when the Eadu Energy Conversion Laboratory was attacked by X-Wings.
Eadu was added to the mod.

The events of Rogue One happened just prior to Episode IV.
I am still working on who will be on the planet Lah'mu which is where Jyn Erso and her parents go into hiding from the Empire. Apart from them there was noone else on the planet.
Jyn Erso and her parents are in the mod but have not decided where they are.

Before this mod is released in 5 days I need to replace the 600 system names that come with vanilla Distant Worlds Universe.
When I test the mod with these vanilla system names it doesnt help when the Death Star is built in the Kuwok or Drumond Caas systems.
I have spent the last 9 hours on preliminary work for the map that will eventually appear in the mod.
In 5 days time the initial alpha version of this mod will be made available.
This alpha version will not have the map as I need other updates to be finished before starting on the map.
The alpha version will have the 785 systems in the Star Wars universe which are tied in someway to the 51 playable races in the mod.
I have gathered some stats on where in the Star Wars galaxy my mod takes place.
These are determined by events in the Star Wars movies and novels.
The stats are as follows.
Only 4 systems of the 785 systems will take place in the Inner Core.
11% of the map is in Hutt Space.
12% of the map is in the Mid Rim Worlds.
66% of the map is in the Outer Rim
and the remaining 10% of the map takes place in other regions such as the Core Worlds around Coruscant.
As you can see much of the action in Star Wars movies etc. takes place in the Outer Rim Worlds and I am recreating that in this mod.
The bottom line is that when you play this mod next week you will be playing in accurately named Star Wars systems.

While the following map is not the one I am going to use to create the mod map, it does show nicely the regions of the Star Wars galaxy and why 66% of the mod takes place in the Outer Rim far away from Coruscant in the Core Worlds.
After all, if you want to avoid Imperial entanglement the best place to be is as far from Coruscant as possible.

When you arrive in a new system you will see at the top right of the screen whether you are in the Outer Rim, Middle Rim, Hutt Space or in the Core Worlds.
When you select the planet as seen for example below the Region of space you are in will be shown to the left of the planet name.

The mod is essentially the Rebel Alliance verse the Empire.
While the Rebels work to bring more worlds over to support the Alliance the Empire on the other hand is subjugating systems and overpowering systems with huge fleets of Star Destroyers. Those systems who resist the Empire face Imperial Blockades against shipping.
With the Rebels verse Empire theme to this mod I am changing the icons at the top of the screen to show the mod theme. Diplomacy Flag shown below changed with my picture design for Rebels Vs Empire Flag and the Rebel Alliance pilot in the character icon.

Today I am spending time on adding ships to 51 different races in the Star Wars universe.
Why do I suddenly have a bad feeling about this?
