The Luftwaffe reports that the Soviets keep on throwing their bombers into action. This causes the loss of planes and pilots on the Soviet side, without Axis losses. However, the oil fields at Ploesti gets bombed (one oil point lost). Heeresgruppe Süd continues the advance, but meets stiff resistance around Kiev:

The "Reichswetterdienst" reports rain over Russia. During a combined impulse, the Kriegsmarine succesfully attacks the CW convoys in the FarOes Gap, sinking 5 CP and aborting 1. Kiev falls and only one hex needs to be taken by the Wehrmacht to make sure that 3 more resources reach the German factories...

Due to the rain, Heeresgruppe Nord loses contact with the enemy...

The weather becomes worst. The Kriegsmarine, coping with storms, can't find any more CW convoys in the next combined impulse:

However, in Karelia, Mannerheims forces take advantage of the snow:

Heeresgruppe Nord awaits orders. Rommel is getting impatient, but von Bock is clear: no orders means no movement. Remember: advance with caution...

Generalfeldmarschall Gert von Rundstedt orders an attack. Even with mud and storms, the railroad is save to get the precious resources to Germany when this attack succeeds without losses on the German side:

In Northern China, Terauchi eliminates the Chungking MIL. But the Sian MIL started moving and is contained by Manchurian and Japanese controlled Chinese rebels.

Southern China has become a stalemate. Japanese strategic bombardments causes the loss of 2 Chinese oil and 1 PP at Kunming and 1 PP at Chungking...

And here is the destroyed pool. Not showing are 4 (!) Soviet pilots and 5 CW convoys which were lost this turn...

And here's the repair pool. The Italian shipyards are full but the necessary resources are needed elsewhere...

Great AAR! A Netplay AAR is fun to read because it flows so nicely. (PBEMs are fun too, but there's more back-and-forth about die rolls, what to include, etc.) Please keep posting!

The Axis lost the initiative for the Juli-August 1941 turn and decided not to reroll. After the first impulse of the turn, Heeresgruppe Nord reports the Soviet army retreating further...

Heeresgruppe Süd gets reports from the Luftwaffe that only a couple of units are still in the frontlines, delaying any advance...

After the next couple of impulses, the Soviets decide to fight at Smolensk. Mannerheim is finally appearing out of the North on the map...

Heeresgruppe Süd has cleared away the annoying troops which were delaying the necessary advance and is approaching the Soviet army...

In Northern China, the Sian MIL is disorganised by a succesfull Japanese air strike. Other communist forces are slowly moving east...

While in southern China, the Nationalists decide to slowly move forward too. The Japanese react by a large strategic bombardment on Chungking, causing the loss of two BP for China...
