In the center the Soviet position grows stronger again. They sensibly retreat to the riverline.

The supply situation hasn't gotten better. The railroad battlions did not repair the damaged railline, but it is done this week by the FDB.

Due to lack of fuel nothing is accomplished this week. Only one Panzer corps has good MP and it is decided to keep it in reserve. The infantry manages to capture another Moscow suburb and a bridgehead over the river is established.

The supply difficulties the Germans are experiencing in the center are the only things keeping me going in this game. I thought I was done for on turn 9 or so.

I think the supply dificulties made the game more realistic, although it would be better to achieve that without questionable partisan attacks.

Turn 14 North

In the North the Soviets launched an ambitious cavalry counterattack, which threatened to cut off most of Army Group North. Luckily, that worked only almost.

The situation can be resolved using the last reserves. The SS is called back south of the Neva in order to acquire a mobile reserve. Last weeks pocket is fully closed.

Turn 14 Center

The Soviets are able to push 1st Panzer Division back across the river, although they take heavy casualties doing so.

The rivercrossing is taken back and two Infantrie divisions cross it for good. Otherwise because of only a handful of divisions having enough fuel nothing much is accomplished.

Turn 14 South

In the South the small pocket from last week holds. It is decided to pocket the Soviet forces between the two mobile forces.

Wow. Very bold attack at Leningrad. One thing i learned the hard way is to avoid gaps in the front line. soviet have a lot of these cheap 4k men cavalry units with 22 MP to throw in and run amok in the hinterland.

That is true and doctorking used them always to good effect, even though he spent most of them before the winter. The regiment guarding against this was sitting in the swamp hex, so I thought he would not have the power to move it.

The pocket is cleared and Army Group North advances without doing anything particularly noteworthy.
