Planning map with relevant airfields during the war -41 until summer 43.
Multi source research. (Luckily I have a russian speaking brother)
and thanks to the site geonames.org.
Basic geo. localisation from german war maps in scale 1-300.000.
Possible from notations in the the Flieger Atlas.
Long. Lat. Some initial mine fields. Lighthouses. Occupation dates.
Green is landing field (Landeplatz) with german use or field airfields (Feldflugplatz).
Yellow is operational airfield (Einsatzhafen) or minor civilian field.
Red is major fields (Fliegerhorst) or big civilian airfield.
WitE-2 game airfields in pink. Interesting to see which are choosen.
Map names are from up to downwards in size.
German naming after Flieger Atlas from -41 up to june-43.
Of course I realize that errors exist especially when sources differ in supposed facts.

How easy is it for you to mod the generals map to give that parchment effect? Is that a separate download you could create or no?

Base map is obvious the beautiful generals map.
Most genial about that is the marked coastline.
Then most tiles are slightly changed to give a bit more variation
but not changing the game map to alter play information.
The parchment effect is just to alter the tiles with added wished texture ,
in my case, with help of Photoshop. This in order to more resemble a real old paper map.
Likewise with Lat. Long., airfield signs, ferry signs and lighthouses.
Historical airfields are graded accordingly to german war data.

Planning map WitE-2.
Historical airfields added.
Graded in size/functionality.
No interference with the game map.
Fliegerhorst, Einsatzhafen,Feldflugplatz
or Landeplatz if used by a german airgroup
Long. Lat.controlled upon OKH Deutsche Heereskarte 1:300 000.
Sources are german Flugplatzatlas -jan. -42 and april -43.
with addons up to summer -43.
Also Luftwaffe Bodenorganisation and Navigations maps.
Checked with AAF,s Aeronautical charts and Vogels many Fliegerkarten.
Also of course controlled against professional researchers
as G. Mattiello, L. DeZeng, J. Prien, C. Bergström and J.Zapf .
Sites like niehorster.org, ww2.dk and wwii.germandocsinrussia.org
Russian sites like soldat.ru, allaces.ru, rkka.ru. and forum.patriotcenter.ru
Added some towns and villages.
Long. Lat., german naming and suitable fonts.
Some lighthouses and starting mine fields,
Errors are bound to exist of course.
Many naming and localisation problems
that must be solved by a decision. Could be wrong.
Also difficult to place airfields into the map when map errors exist.
In some areas ,not many, the map is less exact.
Tried to keep added names and airfields in, as good as possible,
relation to game rivers, rails and already existing cities/villages.
I hope and think there is no change in game play.
The map is too big to be put up here.

Latest attack as seen on the map onto Praschnitz.( Angriff on the game map)

Small R are routed units. Historical airfields to some degree.
All especially soviet ones hastily built not notated.
Quite historical development as can be judged from occupation dates..
