The South After

AUGUST 15, 1941

A good turn for the Allies. No MS were sunk and a hit was scored on a U-Boat. No units were lost in Russia except partisans.

Little to report in Africa or Northern Russia.

My biggest concern is the shortage of British MS and escorts. But I have scored 70 hits on the U-Boats.

Tech Advances.

The British pretty much suck across the board, with the exception of Convoy Escort tech. Too bad I don't have more escorts to take advantage.

Production

Not very sexy is it.

AUGUST 29, 1941

7 MS and an escort sunk, but also 6 more U-Boat hits.

In West Libya the British continue to recover effectiveness before any push on Tripoli.

In Egypt they continue to maneuver around Tobruk.

Russia Centre Before

The Axis launch a few attacks, but don't make any significant gains.

More or less the same in the South.

The exchange of Losses is OK for the Russians.

The North & Centre After

The Centre to South After.

Most of the Axis armour is now in the South. I am not sure if Stalingrad or the Caucus is the enemy's goal.

SEPTEMBER 12, 1941

The BOA is brutal for both sides. The British lose 5 MS and an escort while the Germans endure 5 more U-Boat hits.

To stop the flow of iron to the Germany (at least during the 10 Winter months) the British conquer Norway.

In Libya the British assault Tobruk.

A real annoyance is that Canada produces 5 oil a turn, but ships it all to the UK. This means that the Canadian corps and the Canadian patrol group are left without oil. To compound the problem I can't even trade the oil back to Canada as the British are short merchant ships. Yet more evidence of the bias of this game against Canadians:)

SEPTEMBER 26, 1941

4 MS Sunk.

Libya after my moves.

The Germans evacuate Tobruk and disembark in Bengahzi.

Russia before my moves.

I didn't make very many moves except in the South.

The South after my moves. This is the only truly threatened area as 10 of his 13 mobile units in Russia are located here.

OCTOBER 10, 1941

Just 1 MS sunk and heavy rain everywhere in Russia brings joy to my heart.

The whole Russian Front is pretty static. But I do add more reinforcements to the South.
