North

Here in the North I set up LVI Corps with Manstein within 5 hexes to attack Tailinn turn 3. That way I don't have to move the HQ Which is a good thing. I will have 3 motorized divisions within easy reach of the City if necessary to take.

Will see what turn 3 brings to the North.

Pskov Area

My intention is to have two avenues of approach to Leningrad, three approaches if I am lucky. On approach going through Narva area, the 2nd approach through Pskov-Luga. I set up to try on turn 3.

South

My first objective in the South is just to take the two level 2+ railyards circled in black. Then immediately connect those two rail yards from Lvov to Chernovsty giving a direct rail route to Rumania too in the process by turn 4. Once that is accomplished further movement to the east will commence and until that time I will not release the hounds.

The Soviets decided to stay close near the Rumanian border and attempt to play cat and mouse with those forces. Will see how this pans out in the following turns.

Ground Losses

Again, keeping my tank losses to as little as I can. Granted I will start lossing some to attrition but nature of the beast. Up to the end of turn 2 I have lost a total of four (4) tanks so far. Will see what turn 3 brings but I can't keep that number low forever, that is a fact

Air Losses

The majority of my losses have been minor ally fighter planes. Trying to keep these losses down until I can get the supply I want to the front. But with the new bases having a higher starting experience that the bases behind the June 22 start line there is enticement to bring the aircraft over the border But I will still wait.

Looking at the VP chart here I can cross off Smolensk from this list. I will not capture Smolensk any time soon nor capture the bonus VP for it. Now having said that I do plan on having the Leningrad 30 VP & the 6 bonus from it to make up for it . As for Pskov I won't be getting Pskov turn 3. More than likely turn 5 if all goes well. Tallinn I plan on taking turn 3 or 4 so well within the scope for the bonus points. Will analyze the south around turn 7 to give a forecast of when I think the VP's in the south are attainable. Right now there is nothing leading me to believe I can't accomplish the South VP's within a few turns of their actual capture dates. As for the Center.... Will have to see what comes that way.

I have done mass re-arrangements of Inf Divisions, Corps HQ's, Moto Divisions, PZ Divisions & tried some refitting right from the beginning. Turn 3 I will show my depots, supply network, my rambling on the 30 hex range of the level 2+ railyards with levels superimposed, the refitting of the Panzer divisions that are "STILL" refitting turn 3 at a higher supply level and more if I can find the time. At the moment I have to go out with the wife to shop. Will be back later this afternoon Until then fair well traveler.

Time to get moving on this update. There were no Soviet bombings at the beginning of turn 3... None, that is odd. Only had a few recon missions to Northern Rumania.

JG-52 failed to scramble any fighters at the 96 plan recon mission... both hexes got there pictures of our troops and left without being bothered.

Jumping right into the freight per Army. What do you think? Only 4th PZ & 3rd lacking, but they are so close to there "Sup Need" that I am not worried about it. Now remember, I have only built 5 depots so far this game. On top of that after building those 5 a recalculation of mine told me I only required 3. Are the numbers good??? I think they are for the amount of AP I spent on depots.

The logistics phase see to it that I lose the most tanks of the war so far of 7. My total tanks lost is 11 now at the beginning of Turn 3. See how well I can make it through the turn on my tank losses. (a couple good Soviet counter attacks can ruin these numbers btw ;-P )

14th Panzer, which has yet to move from the 1st turn, been on refit the whole time, has had a HQ on the hex with them, and on top of a well supplied level 4 depot, and being switched from a level 2 supply for the unit last turn to a level 3 supply, and has had 100 CPP has gained exactly..... another 2 points to their TOE. They did not fail any admin rolls. Not what I expected or hoped for.... I have to be doing something wrong with 14th PZ

Not like an am lacking any tanks. Guess just having bad luck with 14 PZ. I am not having bad luck with other PZ divisions that have moved though. Lets check in on 16th PZ next.

Actually now that I actually go and check I need the following items, medium tanks I am missing 46 to be exact & I have plenty of medium tanks if looking at the previous post.
