I also refit a panzer division. So far losses have been very light but this division had 80 damaged tanks, not something that you want to be retreated with. By now, I have built up a reserve of tanks in my armoury (for the first few turns, the divisions in France take up the production)
On the Gomel sector, supply is improving and my forces are building. A fresh ID makes mincemeat of a Soviet Cavalry unit. It is best to make DAs against Cv units, if theCv is fresh it may slip away but often it gets canned.
I'm pleased that I didn't try to isolate that cavalry unit though I did manage to isolate an infantry division as a nice little bonus. The German cavalry units are very useful.
