Von Bock has just renewed his assault towards the Kremlin and already the Soviet front lines are caving in!

SITUATION IN THE SOUTH The Germans await their supplies to catch up??

It's now T19 round 1 and Willie is slowly chewing his way through my MLR and will soon surround my defenders and destroy them. Then the road to Moscow will soon be open without any hindrences. I have units in Moscow that I can use to defend with but they are still cherry red and not ready for combat yet. I need these defenders to buy me some time if possible.

It's now T20 round 1 and Willie has forced his way through my defenders and will soon be adjacent to the city and the battle of Leningrad will begin. I've railed some defenders to the city vicinity and are lining the river running just south of the city to use it to defend behind. A really short MLR as it were. With plenty of arty to support. I'm wondering if it's time to deploy my aircraft forward yet. Most of them are green and ready for prime time. I suppose it's time to use them since Leningrad and Moscow are both under threat.

I see damaged R/R lines going all the way back to the Polish border. What's the German supply situation?

It can't be good. We'll have to ask Willie to post something about that.

Here's the situation just west of Kharkov right now. Willie is in the process of defeating my defenders and is just on the verge of blowing a hole in my MLR and rolling up my lines destroying my valient defenders. I've seen it happen over and over since the beginning of this game. My defenders are just too fragile, their proficiency is too low and none are up to the task given them. I'm hoping this will change over the course of the game.

RAIL LINES ADVANCES ARMY GROUP NORTH The German rail lines are past Luga in the north

RAIL ADVANCES ARMY GROUP CENTRE The German rail heads are past Yaretsov in the centre

RAIL ADVANCES ARMY GROUP SOUTH The rail heads are just past Kiev.
The south is a vast rail network so there are other railway repairmen at work elsewhere

Willie is taking my MLR's apart and surrounding my defenders. The way to Moscow is open and I suspect that Willie will soon be there. The battle for Moscow will soon start.

It's now T21 round 1 and this is what it looks like around Leningrad right now. I've railed a lot of arty up here and I've got several divisions of defenders. I'm hoping I can delay the take-down for several turns. The end result isn't in doubt however. Willie will soon own Leningrad.

ARMY GROUP CENTRES DRIVE EASTWARDS The Soviet defences are shattered?

It's now T22 round 1 and Willie has managed to outflank my defenders near Spas Demensk starting last turn and getting a good surround started just this turn. They aren't out of supply yet and I can disband all of them but that wouldn't be a realistic thing to do. It seems gamey, artificial. But it would save a lot of men and equipment. I'm wondering what kind of difference it might make to the game.

It's still T22 round 1 and Willie has forced his way through my defenders further north and is now spreading out and sweeping his way south toward the port of Sevastopol. There are no Soviet forces worth speaking of between the Axis and the port and it's only a matter of time before he owns it. There are two depleated divisions at the port but they are still red and in need of refit. So they are worthless as defenders. I'm wondering if I ought to evacuate them all out toward Turkey.
