I was hoping after the incredible success we had at sea yesterday that the Allied forces remaining in Colombo would be a little worse off, but they put up a withering defense that cost us dearly.

At the beginning of the month of April 1942, we had over 150,000 Japanese troops in India moving to secure all of the Bengal region. A month later, the last few troops are running for their lives as we've completely abandoned India for other theaters. What a difference a month makes.

In what can only be described as an utter act of desperation and frustration, the powerful Dutch garrison sounded and out of supply at Bandung on Java just launched a suicidal attack on our forces encircling them, with predictable results.

The Dutch launch another suicidal attach on us at Bandung. It's clearly out of desperation but I don't get the point of it. Every attack just makes it easier for the existing forces in position to take it later on.

After months of complete inactivity, the Allies appear to be moving in SOPAC. We see at least two active enemy Task Forces quickly approaching the most important possession we have in the region, and I have a feeling there is a lot more over the horizon.

After weeks of being MIA, the Allied carriers have returned to combat, and they exacted a heavy toll on my Naval Bombers attempting to stop a serious invasion of our territory.

The Allies, under the cover of the enemy carrier force, has successfully recaptured Koumac from us. This will allow them to establish a base of operations on New Caledonia as they start working their way down the island to the ultimate prize, Noumea. Did they bring enough force to win here?

The Allied Sub presence is an ebb and flow. We're back in a flow right now and they're crawling all over the place. It's only going to get worse from here as well, as the Mark 14 torpedoes continue to become more effective. We need to come up with a better plan to stop them.
