The Japs finally captured Guam but the AM that was originally parked there ( USS Peguin ) is several hundreds of miles NNE of Kwajalein right now and might just make it back to safety.

Those Clemson destroyers can become APDs, I like to convert them once they get more day and night experience. They can carry up to 180 troops or up to 60 supplies, can be formed into Fast Transport TFs, and increase their ASW to 6. While they can also become DEs, you will get better escorts later. The Wickes class can also become APDs but only after their 1942 upgrades but before the upgrade after that one.

The Japanese will probably invade Kuching so be prepared with airstrikes set on Naval Attack at that range but make sure that they won't attack up the Malaysian peninsula.

B-17Es set on Naval Attack at 20k probably won't hit anything but may clear out some A6M2 Zeros! But the B-17Ds have no rear weapon and thus are vulnerable while the LB-30 is not that good in air to air combat either, I prefer to use those for ASW purposes but they can also perform Naval Searches as well.

In Luzon, you might try P-40Es on Low Naval at 100' or 1k. If the CAP is too high, the enemy fighters may not intercept.

Use your PT Boats in good weather, that is storms and little to no moonlight. Overcast at a minimum but the weather may clear up from there. Even the M2 may kill ships if they are carrying fuel and it catches on fire. One such hit may be all that it takes.

The AP Dominion Monarch finally arrived at Colombo and I withdrew it from the game with days to spare. The next closest one to have to be withdrawn is the AP Joseph T. Dickman which has only 73 days left so what I think I'll do is move it to Colombo by itself and download it of it's troops and THEN withdraw it. Some other AP can carry the 54th British /2 unit to where the rest of it's units live later.

Joseph Dickman can make it to Java or Perth and return to Cape Town in time to be removed. I would not waste that UK division at Singapore. I usually evacuate Malaysia and Burma before the Japanese can destroy my units, but that is against the AI.

127 days from now I'm supposed to have withdrawn the Queen Elizabeth, so I have it headed for SFO, there's another 90 hexes to go and barring any drama on the way there I believe it'll make it on time, maybe early. It's between Canton Island and Christmas Island right now. But the KB hit Midway yesterday so I know they aren't a threat. The problem is that it has no escort with it. D'oh. I still think it'll get there.

Yeah, I saw that they were headed for the wrong spot and I'm thinking of sending them to Rangoon for whatever help they can provide there. Also, I'm using the troop transport capabilities of a lot of my aircraft to retrieve those isolated units on the smaller islands in the Celebes because they aren't providing much help against the Japs that way. And I don't want to just give them away or let them starve.

The subs that left Manila in a big hurry are starting to spread out in the waters between the HI and the PI. For all the good they might do with their duds.

I know from previous games that the AI usually can be counted on to invade at Davao so I put together some DD's from Java to sortie to Davao to welcome the arriving guests. I've got a sub parked close to the mouth to the harbor. Lots of my transports are carrying fuel, oil, and RES from Balikpapan to Java and I'm hoping they won't be involved in any major drama for a while.

Well, a minefield one hex away from Davao might help or at Davao itself.

You can also withdraw ships at Sydney and Colombo. I don't think that the TF can safely make Rangoon plus that division needs training as well. The QE can make a few fast runs to Sydney or Auckland before she is withdrawn.

As far as my knowledge goes, I read a lot of AARs and asked a lot of questions.

I think both those ships might too large to go upriver to Rangoon. Only ships with tonnages of 15,000 tons or less can sail on a navigable river.

I'm trying to get my three CV's together before I sail for Midway. I'm going to put together some kind of jerry rigged SCTF just for escorts for the CV's.

If you want to give the AI fits, the 18th UK broken up into thirds can hold off three invasions with Dutch help. Kendari comes to mind while the Aussie infantry and American artillery at Darwin could help Ambon.

Keep those great ideas coming.

Don't give the Dutch infantry any infantry replacements, stockpile them. Once you get enough, make sure that your infantry won't take replacements so upgrade your militia to infantry but you would have to turn off the stockpiling of the squads. Also stockpile the 120mm CD guns for the dutch, they are static. Also stockpile the Garrison devices since those are also static.

The Japs advanced to Naga and captured the base easily because it was unoccupied. As are the next couple of bases.

The KB has disappeared again. It's probably in the near regions of Midway somewhere probably to the NW several hexes away. I'm going to spread out some subs to that spot and look around for the KB.

Wildcats from VMF-211 Det flew from Wake to the Lexington making that carrier just a tiny bit over it's capacity but I can download them at Johnson Island or maybe Palmyra.

I usually put them on the Big E. Then I get the main part to join with them.

I usually concentrate all of my Luzon air units at Manila. If you are going to lose Luzon, you can send the P-40E units to China but not the other fighters. If you disband the pea shooters, they can be used for training American pilots or swapping them for P-38s.
