The Germans, instead of retreating as expected, have decided to push forward, destroy our hold on the Pocket and to assault our troops. We have lost 563 tanks in their attacks. It is quite catastrophic indeed, in terms of losses. But... They cannot keep on like that.
We decided to ignore the Germans and keep on pushing. Keep on cutting their reinforcement lines, taking their military depots.. In order to do so tho, we still need to be careful. Too much troops were stationed in front of the Riga Frontline and now, with the fall of the Pskov pocket... ,

...we can shift armies around. Leningrad and Volkhov Front are shifting towards the bulge of the Lithuanian Pocket and will follow the Cavalry divisions in order take a firm hold on any ground they take.
In the South, with only one Panzer Division threatening us, Crimean Front's Tank Armies decided to go South, driving to Bucharest. While everyone else would push the Axis North West and keep them busy. It is estimated that the Rumanians will fall in a matter of weeks.

So...I may not have explained it well on our last meeting but the Axis are pretty much done for. Unless they have something in reserve I havent seen yet. It becomes very apparent after last week that everything they had was basically divided in two :

On one hand they had their rifle divisions and motorised in the North, in the other, they had their panzer divisions in the South. Creating an illusion that they were still very strong and capable of threatening us. Their allies would then entrenched in the central positions and give our troops something to think about.

We will now concentrate on blocking the German armies in the North, seeing as they refuse to escape from there, with some of our armies. While the tank armies, who have proven incapable of destroying the German Panzer Divisions, will instead drive further South, following the cavalry divisions in the North, and in the South, on their own.

We will mostly ignore everything the German does and instead of dancing to their tunes, they will have to dance to ours. We will bypass any fortress they have and simply have some troops encircle them. We have more than enough for this tactic to work.

Bulgaria switched side. The game automatically ended after that. Which is a shame because the German player was about to retreat all to Germany in order to make one last big stand at the gates of Berlin.

We are both so, so bummed out about this LAME automatic result.

It took 68 turns to defeat Germany. I don't have access to enter and view the game anymore since it ended on the Axis side so unfortunately can't post any stats.

Im hopeful our next game will start soon. Now with our better knowledge of the game, especially the German player (cough cough winter time) will be better prepared. This next game should be an epic one. No early ends this time in the options. AAR will be created for that second game as well.

Thank you ! We did turn off automatic victory this turn. It was "No Early End" option.

Thanks ! Yes another game is already being played. We will not switch side as we decided we would put everything wev learned playing our sides and have a better game this time. A more ferocious one.

Hopefully the Germen player knows the True power of the soviets during the winter and builds Defenses to prep for it a lot of games I have seen is that the germen player attacks and attacks but they never have time to master Defence Tactics, during the winter and after ( that's If the soviets can bounce back ) Congrats again you two

I am indeed, not Russian. I am the best of what Canada can offer tho : French Canadian. Thanks for the congratulations and hopefully next time the German player did learn a lesson. I feel like he did and it will be a very difficult game for me on the next one.

Rematch? Are you kidding me? Maybe after the Germans learn more of the game. This was a one-sided bloodbath. The title should be, "Massacre"!!!!
