Again I think I've found most of the main
Jap ships and it seems to me that the
Kudo Buti hasn't moved the whole game. And the
Japs are having a hard time reducing
Singapore and have called in a
CV to back up the
BB's. There's two
British CV's at the
Admiralty Islands and they have weathered several
Jap air attacks the survived just fine so I believe I can take the
American CV's out that way as well. The
Japs don't have very many aircraft on-hand so maybe I can get a lot of furballs started to make them go away.

In going through all my ships I came to
DD Division 4. It's down to it's last
3 DD's out of a lot. And there's no more
DD's on-hand besides the
Gleeves-Benson Class and it's already full of those. So I guess I should assign this ship to light duty. Like escort of units from
Pearl to
Johnson Island or something.

I'm the blue dots in this image. The
Communist Chinese are in the north and seem to be doing rather well. Notice that one of my units has staked out a route heading south to cut off the supply of the
Jap units. The
Nationalist Chinese are in the south and they have formed a front line that the
Japs are having a really hard time breaking through. The
Japs are really low on supply. I have a
partisan in the
Haiphong area attempting to cut the line of supply to those
Japs just north of
Hanoi. It occurs to me that airfields in north
China look like they may be within range of the
Japanese Home Islands. I'll see if I can take advantage of that somehow.

I found a
Jap CV all by itself just offshore of
Malaya. So I'm going to do a maximum effort strike using
41 Hurricane's and
22 Spitfire II's. Their proficiency is only
46% so I don't think it will survive but at least I'll get one or two of the
Jap bombers. I'm going to bring a lot more air power over here to attack on
turn two because I'm not going to get a better chance to do some significant damage. There's not even an escort vessel for the
AA support it could provide.

I've decided to make some attacks on the next two islands looking north from
Santa Isabel. I've got the ships all doing a maximum effort but I doubt that the attacks at
New Georgia Islands will do much damage but I have high hopes for the attacks at
Bouganville.

When moving my
British TF I discovered a small stack of
Jap ships and it appears that one of them my be a
BB. So I decided to sacrifice my planes to do the most damage I can. I can replace the planes but his ships are gone when they are sunk so I believe I can afford it better than he can.

I discovered a
Jap CV by itself, no naval escort but lots of
LBA but regardless of the
LBA I've decided to do a maximum effort strike to see if I can damage the
CV but my effort is so week I doubt if that will happen. Probably I'll just damage a few planes. It's worth the effort however.

My attack at
Bouganville was successful in that I captured a
port and
airfield on the island. Now to clear out the rest of the island. I think my ships helped a lot.

I appear to have sunk the
IJN Takao Class CA and the
Yamato Class BB has suffered some significant damage. Also, the
Mogami, a
CA, also was damaged. And some paint was scratched on the
Nagara/Kuma/Sendai Class CL. CA Tone had two ships in the unit and one of them was sunk. So I sunk a total of two ships from that entire attack. I wonder if Elmer is going to heal his wounded ships at all.

I successfully invaded a port with overwhelming support from my ships. I'm making progress. The next big island to invade is probably
New Britain and it's port at
Rabaul.

I see where three of my squadrons evaporated and I lost a boat load of planes, but I damaged a
Jap CV: Zuiho and
CVE Unyo. Plus one
Jap NVL ( Night fighter I believe ). But it's going to take several turns to replace the planes that were lost. I'm wondering if Elmer will heal his damaged ships.

I did a follow up attack on
New Georgia Islands but didn't seem to accomplish much. I guess my guys are tired and need some refit. I need to leave the ships where they are for the support they will provide.

I found a friendly airfield on
Borneo near
Brunei and I'm using it to do a maximum effort on a small stack of
Jap ships near
Singapore. My aircraft probably won't survive because of the predictable response of the
Jap LBA to my invasion of "his" territory. I'm thinking of sending some fighters to
Brunei to act as
CAP. It probably wouldn't survive either.

I just received the
1st and
5th Marine Companies so I thought I'd throw them at
Wake Island to see if I can't take it easily. I'm going to provide some ship support just as soon as I find who is closest to
Wake. Most of my ships are in the
South Pacific right now. I believe there's some
CA's near
Midway I can employ.

I found an open port on the north coast of
New Britain so I decided to pour some troops into it. I'd sure like to own
Rabaul and all those airfields near there. Also, I have a follow up attack scheduled at
Bouganville. Also, I have a coast road clearing attack scheduled at
Madang. Also, I'm bombing a Jap remnant NE of
Lea.

I detected a large stack of
Jap ships and
4 of them are the big boys. I'm going to make a maximum effort to strike them with my
Beaufort's even though my aircraft probably won't survive the strike it'll be worth it if I can sink or damage one of them.
