lost time is the only one mistake you can't overcome early in the war as Japan
still enough sallys and battleline can support if needed
there is small time frame window in which you can attack Australia or India and it ends in April/May
Indeed, but undercommitting leads to more lost time than overcommitting. Bringing in additional troops, more troops disrupted dead because of the better ratio for defenders in the initial phase etc.

I'm a fanboy of blitzkrieg war
take all mayor objectives as fast as possible to have more options available

I am too, but I'm ever a bigger fanboy of the force concentration doctrine, as it usually makes my superiority even more superior, enabling me to suffer even lesser losses vs higher losses for the enemy. That or the enemy will just get the hell out of dodge when he sees my armada approaching and i take the objective with NO losses [:D]
Nothing is worse for fast attacks than bogging down due to lack of troops

in my last game I have blitzed Batavia by 10 Jan with 2 division +support and Soerabaja 2 weeks later
we are hijacking thread [:'(] - I agree with all statements and my AAR vs raver is a proof
45 units may be result of evacuating small parts of PI/Malaya units by subs and planes as well as single ships - there are 20+units on malaya which can be partially eveacuated to rebuild in India later - that can be only solution to me - combat value will be minimal - less then 50AV + fact that dutch player need to divide troops between soerabaja and batavia - no chance to get close to 200 av per base - with 2-3 combat eng + JPN battleline helping in invasion should result in taking base on day 3

Thanks on opinion[&o][&o][&o]
I must agree with String.I just love to move with large troop concetration, makes me feel safe and strong.I love to keap my CVs together. In 43 i will have 10-12 full equiped CV-CVL force,i love to keap them together, they are tremendous force. If i manage to make my plan in 1942,my plan is conquer Jawa and take Noumea than go to defence,he will have hard time to break my defences.I won many PBEMs with this tactic.I will not go for Australia. My "super KB"with 12 CVs will be enough to match any force.
Lets put it this way,if i kick him from Nomea and Jawa in time i am pretty confident that i will not lose war.I make several mistakes but nothing special.I dont love fight in China,i dont want to invade Australia,i dont want India.I try to follow history path(without Midway[;)]).
Assume for moment that battle of Midway not occur, allies will be forced to negotiate.
Assume that Kurita was not coward and if he masacred americans in Leyte gulf, and he can do that becouse of Halsey foolishness, americans will be forced to negotiate.
I just want Philippines,Jawa,Sumatra,NG,New Caledonia, nothing more, nothing less. With that i can keap my forces together and defend my new properties.
FORTUNE FAVORS STRONG,not brave.
BANZAI!

By the end of '42 even without transfers he can easily have 800-1000 aircraft on the front lines in Burma (the 43-44 additions are even scarier taking into account those in China), 1200-1400 in SwPac/Australia and 800 or so in SoPac (granted its hard to deploy them effectively in SwPac or SoPac). These numbers are off the top of my head while i'm avoiding work but it seems to me that you have to try to cut out at least one of those fronts or provide for a deeper-than-historical defense in depth. You got the point.
If i manage to establish my line in late 42 it will be real pain for him to break this line. But,it is to many if...

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 02/22/42
D-day for Jawa comes, troops of 25th army loading in Singapore, rested, reinforced and eager to fight.I am a little bit scared of northern airports in Jawa so i will turn them to dust before landing.KB and LBA from Palembang turn to dust Batavia airport, tommorow i will punish airports south.

Campaign for Philippines coming to end, troops gain orders to deliberate,i have 3000 APs there, allied troops in Manila will be slaughtered.
In Pacific nothing new,i am developing my bases and prepare for defence.

I have one question,
he has about 5000 troops in Batavia, can i take Batavia with paradropers? What you think?

They are probably well entrenched and prepped. I don't think paratroopers have enough punch to overcome them.

Thanks guys on tips[&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]
I am gonna stick to original plan.Grand armada is loaded and sent to Merak.
Invasion force:
-158 ships carrying 25th army and support units
Close support:
-7 BBs,7 CAs,10 DDs
Distant support:
-KB
Long distance support:
-200 Zeros from Palembang
I am pretty confident about this invasion becouse i assigned most of combined fleet. He just cant stand this power.
Manila is about to fall, last fort gone and i think he can hold there two more days.
STRATEGIC OBSERVATIONS
I am ready for the worst case scenario in Jawa,so i caming with so much power.45 units spotted in Soserbaya, maybe he just broke units, but maybe he is reinforce the place. If he reinforce Jawa he must have about 3000AP there. That wont be enough.[;)]
Furthermore,he has good airport in Soserbaya, level 6 i think,if he reinforce Jawa with troops he must be brought some airplanes there.I think of about 500-800 planes of all kind.
I am lost contact with his CVs at start of war, that means they could be arround Jawa.
One more thing,he can bring 5-10 BBs in area, but that not concerns me a lot.
If Jawa defended only by original troops this will be walking.
Stay tuned.

Paratroops are for undefended bases
Jawa campaign

Hi Tom,
I often use paratroops to capture bases like for example Victoria point.I think that paratroops are useful against bases that contains for example-base force.

45 units in Soerbaya is an awful lot. Did he evacuate some forces from Malaya, or did you destroy the whole army there?
On the other hand if he sent reinforcements from outside and you bag the whole lot, you may catch him with his pants down elsewhere.
Maybe you can soften his air force using your land based zeroes before you commit the KB. You may as well use your zeroes while your bonus still lasts.

Hi A.
I destroy his forces in Malaya,i suspect that he brought units from India.
However,I must get rid of Jawa becouse that damn 4E bombers will destroy oil and resources in Palembang and Balikpapan easily.Right now i have enough fighters to cover this two bases but i need them elewhere.
I plan to use my land based fighters to soften up his air force, two days before landings Soserbaya will have "Adler tag"[;)]

They've got the city bonus.
You'll need a few days of street fighting before they decide to move to your vacation resorts.
