For those of you out there that didn't know, the seaboard of the Northeast United States will likely be getting hit by a sizeable combined hurricane + "Noreaster" conventional seasonal storm within the next two days. The combined rainfall and storm surge are likely to be significant.

Hi all,

Winter is coming...

Last night we switched from DST ("Daylight Saving Time") and together with it the cold arrived... temperatures dropped from yesterday's 15 degrees Centigrade = 60 degrees Fahrenheit (and last weeks MAX of 20 degrees Centigrade = 70 degrees Fahrenheit) to current 4 degrees Centigrade = 40 degrees Fahrenheit with rain and rain + snow... first snow of the year arrived rather early...
