If you divide the 2nd Australian, won't it recover faster?

If you can move just fragments of the buyable Dutch units, even just one device, from Bandoeng to another base, would you do that? That way, the fragment becomes the unit and would be much cheaper to buy out. Even just a fragment with universal support and engineer devices are useful.

Check the base forces as well if you have not combined them into the larger unit, you only need a fragment to come back to turn into the larger unit.

I needed to keep the unit together for the upgrade to go fast.

Plenty of almost destroyed Dutch units to buy out around the map. This is an almost no rule game, but still won't do that.[:)]

But if the upgrade is done, then you can split it now and it might heal faster.

You can always wait until the Dutch units gets really trashed to buy them out.

Still feel somewhat positive about China...wish I could spot the Tank Spearhead. The 1st and 2nd Tank Divisions will crush me here longer term I suspect although Luzon and Singers are still to be taken.

I have split his attack spearhead of Changsha and have lots of infiltrating units still.

Southern China

Could be worse. Much worse.

The 98th Corp was destroyed this turn near Keifeng blocking rail lines since the war started. Now, in 33 days they respawn at Chungking and can move west to the mountains for China end game.

Pity about their guns though.[:(] That is what we need, and why the Allies are sending armor and artillery to China. Or they make the perfect guerilla force should they move south and west.[;)]

The Vampire is a hard working Destroyer. With just 4" guns, and not that many of them, she is rushing out of Bombay to merge with troop transports coming from Cape Town and escorting them in. Other than that, no escorts.

Marines are unloading at Bombay. Diamond Harbor or Chittagong? Leaning Chittagong, and pulling some Commonwealth back to Diamond Harbor...but I think an amphib landing at Diamond Harbor is highly likely, so dug in Marines would be a surprise.

Abidiel is heavily mining Diamond Harbor...Will only use a few sub mines at Chittagong. Both have CD guns. I need more ACMs. I think the Abdiel will drop one more load and retreat back and become a fast transport.

It might be a short trip...the journey of the Dewey!

Each day that mines are laid, no matter how many ships, those become a new minefield.

Yes, dug in Marines repelling a landing would be a surprise - especially with armour support.

Edit: If you can make some US PT Boats but hide them at Diamond Harbor or Calcutta. Then the invasion ships can play "Bumper Ships!"

TBs at 100 feet might be able to attack before his CAP can respond, especially if any 4Es attack at a much higher altitude first.

Soviet air force left pretty much alone for the entire game so far.

Despite training at extended range, no op losses, and some training improvement.

I am not sure why you want to move the marine Rgt. by ship when the rail lines could get it there as fast and safer?

Doing a lot of shakedown cruises, with a ton of ships.

The merchant shipping gets to 15 fairly quickly, but night time training of better ships is longer as they have a higher training cap.

Pilot skills...

Just moved the Buffalo skipper into Tracom, my first Tracom move of the game.

Haven't thought thru any pilot training programs, trying to flesh out my front line squadrons with 60 skill pilots. That is a lot of 80 exp pilots for me...

My initial thought is to dump an elite pilot into some training groups to boost overall training speed.

PDU off, so they might go to Tracom and then to good frames.

You can get many more pilots into the training units (or any air unit) than is normal. Just end up selecting more than you need when you do so manually. That is a good way to get those who need training out of the reserve pool and get them trained. Also, when a pilot gets fatigued, you can rest them by putting them into Group Reserve - which is also a good way to force certain pilots to fly to build up their experience.

Off map question:

If I send this cargo convoy to East Coast, from Cape Town, will they refuel in the nether regions? After one day, I could change them to refuel, but I am not sure that that is important in off map travel.

About 25 squadrons of Americans heading for Bombay. Most will eventually wind up in Ledo to supply China.

Even the transports are planes. Marine Raiders are the only troops here now, but that will change in the next 3-4 days when the Base Force exodus occurs from Cape Town.
