Mandrake, lad, you have a marvelous sense of humor and a most wicked eye for the absurd. Screen writing, ever thought of it as a profession?
I went home early from work sick yesterday....so I watched a bunch of crap on Netflix. It would be hard to do any worse.[:)]
Maybe when Obamacare kicks in. [:)] Thanks.

OK, I watched it. Amazing amount of engineering/design time went into just the transfer mecahnisms. Custom cradles, mating devices. Also cool when they were lifting off the flatbed, the thing is still attached to a pivot point on the truck and the driver backs up to keep it in the right position.
The funniest thing about this nuclear weapon video are the shots of the crane operator on the dock. If he screws up he will cause $50M damage, slice someone's hand off or perhaps blow up everything within 500 yds but his serene smile would be the envy of the Dalai Lama. I am pretty sure he was high on Qualudes. [:)]

How, exactly did the USN get a CVE named Prince William? Was it a lend/lease ship and the check bounced?
Anyway, she has 37% flotation damage. She will try to make Iba. The other carriers will retire westard. 158th IR and some engineers will try to make Batan Is. St. Louis and some DD's will try to cover. CA bombardments of San Fernando and Aparri.
Not enough fighters to cover all the Luzon bases, Altimonan, Batangas, Lucena, Iba, Lingayen, Vigan and Batan Is. Manira and San Fernando still have bombers.
Recon of Formosa today. That should put a burr under their saddle.

JJ could cause trouble if they sneak a DD into Iba or Batan Is.

WJD subs are kicking behind the last two days. 3 AP's, Chicago and Prince William in the last two days.
Chicago and Prince William will survive and we may have sunk one of the subs today...but still. Most importantly the CVE will survive. Yorktown and 2nd Br Div arrive off Aparri in about 7 days.

Even more important than that, you seem to have used up the torpedoes from all 3 subs. Good show! Now they have to go get more.

Yes, yes. A deliberate strategy on our part. We trade a 6000 ton AP with troops aboard for 4 of the Emperor's torpedoes. It's a war of attrition! Crevah rittah baaahstards won't know what hit them!

The tops of her feet also look chafed - like she was doing roundhouse kicks on the punching bag in the gym. Be vewwy vewwy caweful and polite when you talk to herw.
